It's another day dedicated to praying for all our needs. Let's join together believing that God will answer our prayers because He does!

Let's all pray for HEALING in every area of our lives. Nothing is impossible with God. HAVE FAITH. BELIEVE!

Remember, there is power in the Name of Jesus!

Your name is above all names
Glorious You are this day
Forever Your love remains

Your hands have already made the way
For multitudes to be saved
Lord we cry out and pray

For You are the Lord of all
You pierce every soul
With Your love alone

There is power in the name
There's healing in the name of Jesus

Jesus

If you have prayer requests and you need somebody to stand in the gap for you, please leave a comment here and I will pray.

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, October 29, 2009

We serve a God of change. This is very comforting to be reminded of because of circumstances in our lives that seem to look like we're stuck in it for good and that there's no way out.

I thank the Lord that He is able to change my circumstance and that surely victory is mine. It may look like it's never going to change now, but His Word says in Isaiah 14:24, "The Lord Almighty has sworn, 'Surely as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so will it stand..." It doesn't matter how ugly or depressing my situation looks like now, because this too is subject to change.

Thank you, Lord!

How To Handle Adversity

Tuesday, October 27, 2009
I've been wanting to have a copy of this book but wasn't able to find one when I was desperately looking for it two months ago. I couldn't find it in our local bookstores.

My dear friend, Sylvia, sent me one and I got it this morning!

I'm excited to start reading it.

Thank you so much, Sylvia!!! I love the dedication you wrote.

"If you are a child of God whose heart's desire is to see God glorified through you, adversity will not put you down for the count. There will be those initial moments of shock and confusion. But the man or woman who has God's perspective on this life and the life to come will always emerge victorious."
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:2-4

Random Thoughts

Monday, October 26, 2009
It has been a busy week for me last week. I was planning to go on leave any day this week since my boss is leaving for the US tomorrow, but he told me this morning that I'll be in charge of the office while he's gone. So my plan went flying out the window. Sheesh... He said that when he comes back, I can go on a vacation for one week. Really now.

Yesterday was my first day to lead my Leadership Group (LG) and it will be so every Sunday. It went well. We've talked about the Power of Hope by Joyce Meyer. I was also being encouraged myself while I was discussing this topic with them.
Most of us have a hard time believing that God is working on our behalf until we see something happening with our natural eyes. This usually isn't the way God works. He works behind the scenes much of the time...
Whatever happens, trust in the Lord and trust in the power of hope! My hope is in God who never changes. Nothing is impossible with Him. He is a big God, and I'm believing Him for big things. How about you?
The day before that I went to the gym to work out which by the way I missed for several weeks, then went shopping in the afternoon. My legs hurt from walking around for five hours.

My week ended with a smile on my face. My heart was joyful and at peace in spite of the busyness. I thank the Lord for His constant assurance that He's going to make everything beautiful in my life. For now, He just wanted me to enjoy life while I wait expectantly.
"Now you shall see what I will do..." Exodus 6:1
On a different note, I saw this video on my YouTube's playlist --- a blast from the past. I think the lyrics are my becoming sentiment. Thought of sharing it here.

***UPDATE AS OF 4:30 PM ***

I was surprised, but really grateful on how things turned out. My boss who's a "terror" around here took the whole thing in stride. He never shouted or said anything hurtful like he normally would. He was cool about the whole thing. Believe me, that boo boo was a big deal. That could have caused me my job, but everything turned out fine. Amazing! God's Word is so true!!! Romans 8:28!

This is something that made me go hmmm...

Thank you, Lord!

*****************************************************************

Lord, thank you for my friend Sylvia who, just now, reminded me of Romans 8:28 to calm my nerves because of a really bad boo boo I made yesterday. In an hour of so I'll be facing the consequence of that action. O God, please help me!

It's another day dedicated to praying for all our needs. Let's join together believing that God will answer our prayers because He does!

As an encouragement to all of us, whatever we're going through right now, God is saying ...
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Today is my birthday!

I am...

My birthday wish is...

~~♥♥♥ May the Lord grant me my heart's desire. ♥♥♥~~

Here's God's message to me today...

God wanted us to praise and worship Him no matter what. He is saying that nothing is impossible with Him.
Whether He will bring to pass or not His promises is not the question because we know that He is not a man that He would lie. He who made the promise is faithful.
The question is, are you willing to obey Him in spite of?

Like in the case of Paul and Silas, He can break the chains in our lives too.

He can bring healing and deliverance.

He can restore.

He can and He will.

Would you do your part?

My Birthday Wish

Tuesday, October 13, 2009
Tomorrow is a special day for me. It's my 36th birthday.

Last Thursday on TT, Lynn reminded us to count our blessings.

I am. And it far outweighs the not-so-good things that happened in my life.

The Lord never left me when I was in so much distress. His promises helped me regain strength to face the world again. I know in my heart that He favors me. I know that I'm on the road He wanted me to take. And at the end of this road, I will receive everything that He had promised. I know I will see His glory in the land of the living.

Tomorrow, as I celebrate my birthday, I only have one wish.

And I will make that wish after I blow my candles.

Thankful Thursday

Lord, thank you for giving me your Word which I can stand firm on even in times of darkness and silence. Thank you for always reminding me that Your Word is truer than anything I feel. I am rejoicing in Your presence, forever grateful for your beautiful plans for my life and knowing for certain that they will all come to pass. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Snake

Tuesday, October 6, 2009
Thank y'all for praying. God did spare His people. Thank you, Lord!!! Now we are focused on helping others build their lives back.
"The prayer of righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16

On a different note, I had a weird dream last Wednesday.

In my dream, a huge snake entered our house (where my husband and I used to live). It was a black snake with a few patches of yellow or orange color on it (can't remember exactly) although it was dominantly black. It slithered down our living room.

I can't remember what I was holding then, a piece of paper maybe, but I hit the snake with it. (Duh?! With a piece of paper???) The snake got annoyed, turned to me and bit me. But I didn't feel anything, no scratches, nothing! I realized the snake didn't have teeth!

I got something much harder, I think a piece of wood, and struck the snake with it over and over again. It left our house, went towards the gate disoriented.

Then I woke up.

Fearless Friday

Please continue to pray for us.

Super-typhoon Pepeng (International codename: Parma) is already in the Philippine area of responsibility. It is believed to be twice stronger than Katsana. It's been forecasted to bring more rains and very strong winds in Northern Luzon including Metro Manila once it makes landfall Saturday afternoon.

Our people haven't recovered yet from the devastation left by typhoon Katsana and a super-typhoon is about to hit us again.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) weather branch chief Nathaniel Cruz likened typhoon Pepeng to super-typhoon Reming (International codename Durian), which killed at least 734 people in the country in 2006.

Lord, have mercy. Spare your people, O God.
