God Is Still In Control

Tuesday, August 31, 2010
We have one pastor in church whose faith I really admire.

For years he waited for God's best for him.  I was one of the witnesses to his very touching proposal to his then fiancĂ©, now wife --- a pretty young lady.  He married last year at 40ish.  It's worth the wait!

We got the exciting news that they're expecting their first baby early this year.  Everybody was so happy for them.

Last night, I got a text message.  Sad news.  Our dear pastor and his wife lost their baby.
"...She was a fighter and our champion.  God is still in control"
My heart broke for them. But in spite of the pain they're going through now, they still honored God.

FAITH.

These words kept repeating in my ear, "According to your faith it will be done to you." (Matthew 9:29) He quoted this verse from the Bible some two years ago when I was crying my heart out while bearing my own cross.

This reminded me that EVERYBODY experiences tragedies in life, including pastors.  But yes, in spite of it all, God is still in control.

Fearless Friday

Photobucket

It's Friday once again and I'm so glad that I can join Fearless Friday after being absent for months.

I want to share a verse I read just before I went online tonight.  It's in Numbers 11:23.  It says,
The Lord answered Moses, "Is the Lord's arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you."
I believe God is also asking us this --- Is the Lord's arm too short?

I have one prayer request for now.  It is my desire to reach the GOLD mark in my Sun Life business.  I'm almost there, just a little more stretch.  Two weeks to go.  With God's favor, I believe I can make it.

Join Angie over at Free Spirit Haven for more Fearless Friday entries.

Food Poisoning

Sunday, August 15, 2010
An excruciating tummy pain woke me up early yesterday morning.  I had to sit on the throne for more than an hour then had to throw up like there's no tomorrow, it was really bad.

I had food poisoning.

After the pain subsided a little, I wanted so much to eat just so to fill my empty stomach, but didn't really feel like it.  I felt like throwing up every time I put something in my mouth.  I was dehydrated.  I stayed in bed until around four in the afternoon.  I had to force myself up to get ready because I had a meeting in two hours.  I felt so sick!

I went to meet up with my friend to do a presentation.  Thank God it went well!  I was able to close the deal.

I went straight home after that and stayed in bed the whole time.  Oh, yeah, and I tried eating too.

I'm okay now. So why am I telling you this?  I don't know.  I just felt like sharing it and I wanted to test my wireless broadband connection.

What a way to test my patience... Argh!

I'm Back!!!

Tuesday, August 10, 2010
It's 7:45 a.m. and I'm here outside Bistro Mateo in Tiendesitas waiting for Dr. David.  We'll be going to one of my clients for a medical interview.  Thank God for wifi and I am able to blog and check my email.  She said she's ten minutes away so I have to wrap it up now.  Just thought of dropping by and say HI to all my blogger friends out there.  Oh, by the way, I'm officially back in blogsville.  How I missed blogging! =D
