TSMSS - Christmas Medley

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Christmas is just around the corner.  This certainly is my favorite season of the year.  I love Christmas!

This video I'm sharing with you today is something really special to me.  I grew up with these songs being played every Christmas at home.   This reminds me so much of my childhood days... happy memories!   I remember my dad would play Ray Conniff music while we put up our Christmas tree.

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, December 16, 2010
I have so many things to thank God for this week...

Last Friday, December 10, our High School class '90, section 5, had our second reunion at Cafe Romulo.  I was glad to see them again.  Some weren't able to make it, but that's okay.  I'm sure when we have our first ever Batch reunion next year, after 20 years,  they will be there.

My Senior High School classmates. So glad to see them again!

Three days after, Monday, December 13, my officemates and I had our Christmas Party at Palladium Clubhouse.  Boy, this was really fun!  We had 70's as our theme.  Disco Fever!!!

Peace!

And finally yesterday,  December 15, a very special day for me.  While I am waiting for God's perfect time for my breakthrough, I went with my friend, Zenda, to do a feeding program for the elderly.  I felt a different kind of joy and at the same time my heart broke for these grandpa's and grandma's who were left to this home for the elders by their families... for good.

The grandpa's and grandma's prepared a number for us.  Sweet!
They were all very happy to see us.

"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40
Father, thank you for the fun and for the chance to serve others.  To You be all the glory and honor!

What are you thankful for this week?

WFW - Mark 10:9

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Today is the day my husband and I said "I do" eight years ago.

For better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part...

Hop on to Amy Deanne's for more WFW entries. God bless!!!

The Lord Will Restore

Monday, December 13, 2010

It's Monday once again and it's another day to share with you a devotional about covenant marriage this time  written again by David, a fellow stander from North Carolina.

*************************
"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten." Joel 2:25
Do not fear, for the Lord is on your side, the Lord sees your pain, the Lord knows what the enemy has stolen from you, and the Lord will repay in His perfect timing if we do not give up. He promises this to those who follow His ways.
"Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours." Psalm 128:1-2
I know your pain is great, and the pain for the absence of your one-flesh spouse is especially deep at times. Please know that God is on your side, and He will not fail you. Just cry out to Jesus and tell Him of your pain. Surrender all things to Him and this will release power into your heart, and His peace will guard your heart and guard your mind in this spiritual battle (see Philippians 4:6-7).

Have hope today that the God of the universe holds you in His hands and the enemy cannot snatch you away from His hands. It is only the enemy's lies that will try to convince you that you must give up, or that God does not care. Listen to the Word of God alone, and you will be greatly encouraged.
"But now, this is what the LORD says--he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.'" Isaiah 43:1-2
One other encouragement I feel the Lord wants us to hear today is that when he repays, restores, replants, or revives, He does so in abundance. In fact, in many places we find the Lord speaks of restoring double what was taken or destroyed.
"Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope, even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you." Zechariah 9:12
"Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours." Isaiah 61:7
Read also the story of Job, which you may already know. I had never paid attention before, but in the last chapter of Job you may know that it describes how God blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part of His life (Job 42:12). It also lists the amount of different types of animals that Job had in this latter blessing (the animals being a sign of his blessing and prosperity). Sure enough, compare the numbers to those in chapter 1, and God gave Job exactly twice as many of each kind of animal as he had before. A double restoration was given to Job in these areas.
"The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, 'This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden'...I the Lord have spoken and I will do it." Ezekiel 36:34,35,36
God has much to restore in your life and mine. Many marriages have been taken as plunder by the enemy, but God will restore and repay back all the enemy has stolen. Trust in Him and let Him be Lord of all in your life and He will not let you down. Let us pray in agreement with standers everywhere that many marriages would be delivered from the enemy's camp as we turn our eyes to Jesus.
"No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?" Isaiah 43:13

TSMSS - You Belong to Me

Saturday, December 4, 2010

I know a lot of you have already seen the movie Fireproof.  I just saw it the other day and boy, I almost finished a box of tissue.  My tears were just falling non stop.

Can't get this song out of my head.  It's actually a song I can sing from the heart.

You run, you hide
As tears fall from your eyes
They fall like snow
From a wounded soul
You hold inside
The hurt of great divide
The hole is starting to get old

So come back to the light
To the love, you will find
It’s been here all along
So come back to the start
And you’ll find in your heart
That you always belonged
To me

Just take the rope
I won’t let it go
Give in
We can start again
I’m life, I’m hope
And I’m ready to explode
With how bad I want you back home

So come back to the light
To the love, you will find
It’s been here all along
So come back to the start
And you’ll find in your heart
That you always belonged
To me (x2)

You’re my daughter, you’re my son
You’re the one I long to love
And you’ve heard I chose to die
Do you know you’re the reason why?

So come back to the light
To the love, you will find
It’s been here all along
So come back to the start
And you’ll find in your heart
That you always belonged (x2)
To me(x4)

Fearless Friday

Friday, December 3, 2010
Photobucket

It's Friday once again. It's a day we commit to praying for our needs and the needs of others.  If you have prayer requests, you may leave me a comment here or you can email me.  I will be praying for you.

The past week, I've been really busy, frustrated, sad and irked.  I didn't even know exactly how else to describe what I was feeling because of so many emotions I was having all at the same time that I felt more like exploding.  Up until this morning, I was getting ready for my appointments when I got text messages one after the other that my meetings were canceled.

Again!

I looked at my planner from Monday this week, I was supposed to be busy like a bee.  And now, all I see on my planner are crossed out names and notes that say "rescheduled".  Argh!!!

I'm like what is going on???  I only have a week before the deadline and I'm still not even half way my target.  It's so frustrating!
Would you pray for me please? Whatever is God's will for me on this aspect of my life, I will accept and obey.  Please pray for peace and a heart of obedience for me. God knows what He is doing and I just need to be still.  Not my will but God's will be done.

I'm joining Angie over at Free Spirit Haven for today's Fearless Friday.
