Fearless Friday

Friday, May 21, 2010
The week has gone so fast and it's Friday once again.

Today is my last day at work.  I'm excited to see what God is going to do in my life.  A bit scared because I'm getting out of my comfort zone. I know, it's FEARLESS FRIDAY and yet I feel a bit fearful.  That's just how I feel now, but I'm not going to dwell on it.  Also, I might not be able to blog and visit yours for a while, but will do so when I have the chance.

Please pray for me.

Thank you, my dear blogger friends, for all the support. I love y'all. I'll see you around.

Thankful Thrusday

Thursday, May 20, 2010

Reflecting... I thank the Lord for:
  • All His blessings to me lately.  I am so grateful for free trips, free food, etc.
  •  All my blogging friends who never cease praying for me and my heart's desires.  Thank you for standing with me in agreement.  I truly appreciate all of you, my dear blogging friends.  I thank God for you.
  •  My health.  My birth-family.  My friends.  My church.
  • The roof over my head.
  • His favor over my life.
  • Everything He did to break and mold me.  I thank Him for all the pains and sufferings I went through, for all the lessons I've learned and for everything He's doing to restore me.
  •  My life.  My marriage.  My husband.  No matter what problems I'm going through,  I still thank God that He is in charge.
  • The joy and peace I have in my life.
Lord, I praise and worship you.  I love you with all my heart.  Thank you, Father.  Thank you, Jesus.  Thank you, Holy Spirit.

TGIS Summer Getaway

Tuesday, May 18, 2010
My friends from church and I went to the province of Quezon for our 2010 outing last Saturday. God is so good!  I only spent $15 all in all for this outing.  Isn't that amazing?

 Our Group - TGIS

On our way to our destination in Tayabas Quezon, we got stuck on a traffic somewhere in Lucban Quezon because of the Pahiyas Festival.  It's a colorful feast celebrated every 15th of May by that town in honor of San Isidro Labrador. It's the farmers' thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town. (Source: WikiPilipinas)

I had so many "firsts" on this trip. Witnessing the festival was one of them.

After five long hours on the road, we finally arrived at the Graceland Resort and Country Club at Tayabas Quezon at around 9:30 p.m.  We stayed at the tent site.  Another first for me.

That's me in the blue tent drinking my milk early in the morning the following day.  lol

We went biking, boating and swimming!

Biking again after more than a decade.  =D

the water!!!

Hahaha!

We had lunch at one of my church mates' bamboo house in a nearby province.

I know. I look tired and yes, hungry!!!  lol  The place is really nice, isn't it?

Later that afternoon, we attended service in Los Baños, Laguna before heading back to Manila.

Thank you, Lord, for the fellowship and the fun!  You are truly amazing!

Thank you!

It's another day dedicated to praying for all our needs. Let's join together believing that God will answer our prayers because He does!
  • Please pray for my country to have a peaceful and honest election on Monday, May 10.  May God's will be done.
  • Please continue to pray for healing and financial provision for us all who need them.
  • Please pray that I get the job I've applied for. God, may I find favor in their eyes.  I pray that they choose me.
  • May God lead me to the right people to offer insurance and that I'll close more sales.
    • Please continue to pray for my heart's desires.

If you have prayer requests and you need somebody to stand in the gap for you, please leave a comment here and I will pray.

    Hong Kong Disneyland

    Thursday, May 6, 2010
It wasn't a planned trip.  This was more like:
Sister:  Do you have plans over the weekend?

    Me:  None. Why?

Sister:  Okay, pack your bags, we're going to Hong Kong on Saturday.

    What???

You have to understand, in my family, 80% of our trips were impromptu.  I have to let you in a little secret here.  I hate packing.  That's why I have a little bag with all my toiletries in there so when something like this pops up out of nowhere, I'd just have to put that little bag in my luggage and put some clothes in and off I go.  When I was younger, I used to pack so much stuff when I travel.  Now, I travel light.

    Day 1

We left Manila at around 8 a.m. I haven't had much sleep because of my two excited nephews.  I stayed over my sister's house for the night.  Shortly after our arrival to Hong Kong, we just had lunch at my cousin's house and off we went shopping.  Well, I just bought a new pair of leather boots.  My sister went shopping galore.   My legs hurt from walking for hours.  It was double tiring when you tag along a seven year old and a five year old boy with you.

    10 minutes before boarding

    See, I looked harassed.  lol

    Day 2

We just had breakfast and off we went to Disneyland.

On the bus to the MTR

    Disney train at Sunny Bay

    My Minnie Mouse ticket

    At the Jungle River Cruise

    With Tigger...  I

    With Donald Duck... I

    On board Orbitron... lol

    Sharing...

    At Mickey's PhilharMagic

     Disney on Parade

I had a migraine towards the end of the day.  I'm sure it was the change of temperature.  It was so hot outside and when we went in for the rides, it was cold.  Then it was hot again, then cold again, then hot again, then cold again.  You know what happened next?  Yup, I threw up!  What a day.

    Day 3

My sister still went out to buy a few more stuff to bring home.  The kids played the whole day.  I, on the other hand, slept until lunch time.  Our flight back to Manila was at 9:40 p.m.  Got home at around midnight.

You know what I thank God for this unplanned trip?  I didn't spend a single cent, except for the boots.  I enjoyed all these for FREE!!!
