Thankful Thursday

Thursday, September 24, 2009

This week's theme is SIMPLICITY.

I thank the Lord for what He has done and allowed to happen in my life that helped me become who I am now. Because of what I've gone through in my marriage, I became a better me. I was able to get rid of bad habits, bad attitudes and emotional baggage. I was able to let go of things I've hung on for quite a while and people who weighed me down a lot. It was like a cleansing process for me. And I love what I got in return --- Joy and Peace. I like the simplicity of my life now. Although there are still desires in my heart that I'm waiting for God to bring to completion, this experience taught me to rely on Him 100% and I know I'm in a better place.

What are you thankful for this week?

Hi sis Pia,
Later on you will know that the only desire that really counts is the desire to please God and give glory to His name. In doing so, He will give us the desires of our hearts. Probably God wants the whole of you and after that He will grant you your heart's desires. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

I know exactly what you are talking about.God the 1st and 2nd yr of my marriage allowed me to go through a cleansing period as well.

Although I must admit at times we don't seem to see at the moment of troubles in our marriage what the good outcome could possibly be.

But, nevertheless God has a way of working within us to bring us his children closer to him.

Blessings to you and your marriage,
Eevee
