Thankful Thursday

Thursday, September 3, 2009

This week's theme is SLOW DOWN.

Lately I've been so busy that I haven't been spending enough quality time with the Lord. I know this is the reason why when my boat is being rocked from time to time, I get swayed along with it when I should be still. I thank the Lord for this week's reminder to slow down.

Speaking of slowing down, I had this video on my FB. Please take time to watch this.

Are you B.U.S.Y.?

Father, thank you for constantly guiding me to the right path. Thank you for your patience. Thank you God for holding my hand and never letting go. In Jesus' name, amen.

What are you thankful for this week?

Wow Pia, this was an eye opener. I've never seen this before but it's definitely memorable. Thank you for sharing that. It's so true. We can get so busy and not have that fellowship with our Lord.

This is so true. The enemy wants to keep us so busy and distracted that we don't spend time with Him or anyone else we love. Such an eye opener.

Pia, thank you for sharing the video and for sharing your grateful heart with us today. Certainly we all live in a world where we are hurrying too fast and sometimes when we do that we miss out on hearing what God is speaking to us. I am trying to slow down, I don't want to miss what He is saying to me. -blessings today to you!

I definitely don't want to Be Under Satan's Yoke. The bad thing is a lot of the time I do it to myself!

God bless you, Pia, and I'm praying for you.

Great post here today. I am glad I stopped by here. I have a special place in my heart for the Philippines. My husband has been on a mission trip there and we have a dear friend that lives in Ozama City doing lifetime mission there.

Painfully true!

Yes, that's a powerful video message on how Satan can encroach on the lives of Christians. He keeps them busy. So busy that they can sometimes forget about their true calling and about the message of Jesus Christ. May we always find time to commune with our Lord and savior to strengthen us against our battles with the enemy. Thanks for the wonderful post and video. I really enjoyed it. God bless you always.

Super, super reminder. That video seems partially taken from the book Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and if you haven't read it, you should. It is amazing and so eye-opening to how Satan works in everyday life!

What's stated in the video is so true. This reminds me of the book, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. If the devil can get us to take our eyes off Jesus, whether by laziness, business, or whatever, he'll win another soul. We all need to be reminded of this. Thanks!

Hope you're having a nice weekend and I'm still praying for you.
