Sorry, I don't know any Marylanders.
I know that there is a site in the internet that can search and locate any person living in the US. I will try to look for it so that we can locate our friend. I will email you if I find it. In the meantime, I am praying for her, for you and Shiela. I also have her email address in my contact list, does not she answer any email to her? Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

mel: please do. i was thinking that if anyone knew anyone from that place, maybe he/she can check up on her. i'm really worried about her already. she didn't answer all my emails. i don't know how to get in touch with her aside from writing her using snail mail. but that's going to take forever.

If you're really worried, could you call the police in your friend's city?
Or something less dramatic: send flowers to her home address (via an online source) and request confirmation of receipt.
A registered letter would accomplish the same thing and would be cheaper.
