Thankful Thursday

Thursday, July 10, 2008

I never thought there will come a day when I'll thank the Lord for what I'm going through. I never thought that will ever be possible. But now I could honestly say, yeah...

"I thank you, Lord, for allowing me to go through all these. For this experience changed me in ways I never thought possible. This experience broke my hardened heart, brought me to my knees and humbled me. And just for the thought that I'm on the right track, I thank you, Lord. You love me to too much to let me go the opposite way."
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Truly a blessing indeed! Not many of us can be so thankful at times eventhough we feel that we are placed in the lion's den or at the bottom pit.

Thank you for your post. It really is difficult to give thanks for the storms in our lives. You did a wonderful job and it served as a reminder for the reader to do so too! Blessings! ~ Tracy

Bless you Pia...As hard as it is, we must Thank Him for the "bad", the hard stuff, the storms, because it is through these that we grow and have a testimony to remind others how we came through this because Jesus was there, helping and guiding us! Pia, my sweet angel...you have done well!
Your humble heart has blessed the Lord and YES, the Lord has plans for you to prosper and not harm you! You cling to this verse and Jeremiah 3:33 and Call Him anytime.

Last week, one of the comments said how you had been through alot and I tried to find a post to help me rayer for what you were going through...if you care to share, I'm listening! I will pray anyway!

I'm so glad that you can "praise Him in this storm"(song my Casting Crown)http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=e2cb123363787d5f76c9
YouTube has 2 good ones also! May this bless you and let HIM bless and fill your day with Him!

Sometimes God gives us a small glimpse into how He's using things in our lives for our good. Not always, but sometimes, He opens our eyes to see what AMAZING things He has in store for us and to grasp just a tiny bit of His overwhelming love for us.

He really does have a great plan...and I can't wait to see how it unfolds for you.

Pia,

It's great that you are able to thank the Lord for your trial(s). As hard as they are, we do grow so much.

Everything will work out in God's time and His plan. It will be great!

Trust in Him!

What a great blog! And SOOO many comments! You are so popular. Lately I have had the same feeling, that all these trials are just lessons that make us wiser and stronger. Life is school. It's hard to not panic in hard times, but I am trying to keep telling myself that I CAN go through whatever is coming, because I have survived everything else with God's help, and I try to say to myself "be patient, it will be interesting to see how this trial makes me grow." I love learning new things, but trials are a hard way to do it.
I'm glad you liked the verse I sent you. It helps me so many times!
Bless you!

what a blessing Pia. Eph 5:20 says we're to give God thanks at all times and for everything. it's truly a blessing when we can see our own growth thru our trials. have a great week!

Hi Pia,
I posted about praising God in all things last week, a lot like what you say here. It really is what God desires, and I've found that my attitude changes and I find more joy in whatever my circumstances, and sometimes even my circumstances change when I praise God in ALL things. I appreciated your post and know the Lord is working in you and has a purpose for your life that is bigger than you can see. He loves you very much! Thanks for sharing yourself with us all and letting God use you as such a blessing!

Hi sis Pia,
So sorry that I can respond to you only now. I have been out of circulation for more than 10 days because we transferred to a new rented house that have 2 two floors so that we don't have to evacuate every time our area get flooded. The transfer of our antenna for the internet service was more complicated than I thought. I shelled out 1,200 bucks and have to wait for almost a week to have it reinstalled. Anyway, I'm back for good and I really appreciate your humble reactions to God's ways in your life. That's the Spirit. We trust Him with all our hearts that He will never let us down no matter what. Thanks again and God bless you always my dear wonderful friend.
