Baguio Adventure

Wednesday, June 18, 2008
We went to Baguio again last Thursday to visit our office there and to check the site where we're putting up our training center. Going up north, a five to six hours drive from Manila, was an adventure for all of us in the van. I've never gone up to Baguio with fog so thick we could hardly see the road. I told the driver to pull over, the others were saying we have to keep going because it's more dangerous if we stop. We just need to go slowly. We were holding our breath until the fog subsided. Thank God there weren't any car around except ours. Whew! We went home the following day.

Pia, thank you so much for the beautiful prayer for my brother and family. I pray that God forever preserves your gentle, prayerful heart!

We get a lot of fog here in the North-east US. It scares me to drive in it too. Glad you are safe!

I was once driving in fog so thick (Huntington Beach, California) that I got to the point where I couldn't see the front end of the car!

I had to stop.

I got out, and when I stood up my head was above the fog! I could barely see my feet.

I rolled down the car window, put the car into gear, and drove slowly sitting on the window frame until I got clear of the fog.

Whew! I'm glad you made it there safely! I know that I am always so tense when we have to drive in bad weather...here it is usually a snowstorm!

Hi Pia,
Praise the Lord that nothing untoward happened to your group. The Lord had enveloped your van with His mantle of protection and you were guided and protected by angels. You seemed to have enjoyed the trip with the winsome smile on your lips. Thanks for the post. God bless you always my friend.
