Your Will Be Done

Wednesday, May 31, 2006
That was my prayer last night after I saw my doctor again for my check-up. On our way home, I was talking to God with my eyes shut and singing, "God will make a way, where there seems to be no way..." Deep down inside I really felt like crying but there's this voice that kept telling me, "I know. Trust me. Everything will be okay" I knew that that was the voice of God speaking to me. No, the doctor didn't tell us any bad news. My killer cells are not in their usual raging mode so far, everything's under control. She just told us the steps we're taking in the days ahead. It's when we started computing the amount that we need to spend for the treatment that shook us a bit.

At home...

"Babe, do you believe that God will make a way?" I asked.

"Yes," he said.

"Are you worried?" I asked again.

"Well, I can't help it. Yes, I'm a bit worried," he said.

"God will provide. He said He will. You'll see." Then he proceeded to give me my shot. Tears were forming in my eyes because of the pain but I kept telling myself that this is all worth it and "Lord, your will be done."

Pia,

God's will for your life is the best. His will is for you to be in health not pain; in joy & peace not in sorrow & anxiety; in abundance in all situation not lack; in faith not in doubt & fear.

My God shall take away your pains and sorrows; wipe clean your tears; grant you joy & peace in this affliction & restore your health. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Be strong in the Lord, rejoice in Him and waver not in your faith in Him. It shall be well with you.

I am so soryy to hear about the difficulties that you have been having, but I am encouraged by your faith. "We walk by faith and not by sight." I can see your faith, but I can feel your pain. Kind of like Jesus. We could see His example of faith and we could feel His pain. God bless you.

You are one of the sweetest sisters I know online. Thank you for being such a blessing to all of us. Lifting you in prayer. I love your spirit. I love His Fruit through you of gentleness and humility.

Something that comes to mind as I lift you in prayer... God is using your suffering for His glory. Although you may not see it, He is working constantly touching lives through you as you share your life so openly. Your life situation draws people to God. Even now, just before I write this, I paused to pray for you. In this, God is breaking down any lingering rebellion in my spirit so that I come to Him for you. My strength is useless. But His strength is everything. In this way, as I surrender to His authority for hope, another part of the ME is lost and another portion of Christ's image is added. You are a tool for God's purposes in building the invisible Kingdom. His ways are not our ways, neither are His thoughts like our thoughts. For as high as the Heavens are above the earth, so are His ways and thoughts more so than ours. In our eyes, His ways may seem long and drawn out. But God's time is eternal. Walk in the Spirit and live in this eternity even though you walk this earth; you are in Christ, hid in Christ. You have died in baptism and now raised in Him. The life you now live you live through Faith in Christ. You live because He lives. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. You live because He Wills you to Live. He is the Light and Life of all who trust in His sacrifice of Love. Our earthly sufferings are but for a moment compared to eternity. As you know, if we claim that God is sovereign, then He can change our circumstances in the twinkling of an eye. Embrace His given moments of your circumstances wisely for His glory. When you open yourself for others in the midst these trials, you allow others to bless and be blessed. No one ever comes away from touching God without being changed. And they have turned toward God because of your situation. No growth, no matter how small, is ever insignificant if it's moving toward God.

God bless you, Pia, and your husband.

*tears*

Coming by to check on you. I've been thinking about you.

"...if in the process i am able to show people who my God is then it's all worth it."

Some may ask why does a loving God allow you to suffer? Christians aren't exempt from problems and difficulties. But one difference from those who don't know Him...He promises to be there in the midst of everything and that He will never allow us to bear more than we are able WITHOUT making an escape somehow. That escape may be through His strength to endure or a healing.

Praying that the Spirit will give you boldness and the words when needed to share your Sparrow's Song to the world. Each of us has our own unique song that we sing for the glory of the Creator. The melody is basically the same but the lyrics may vary with circumstances.

And though you may know these things, I speak them for the benefit of others who read this but don't know.

Oh Pia, I know the worry of medical bills also. I just went through another battery of tests and put on yet ANOTHER medicine which costs $156 dollars a month added to all my other pharmacological expenses and sometimes the weight of this financial burden is crushing. I will keep you in my prayers and I luv you sis!
