A Revelation

Tuesday, March 7, 2006
Things have been crazy around here lately. Our section looks more like a ghost town than an office. Everybody does his own thing either on the computer or on the phone. I knew what everybody was up to and I just let them do whatever as I did mine. With all the fuss around here that got almost everybody worried, I've remained just the opposite. Don't get me wrong, I need a job just like anybody else and I could lose my job just as fast as others could. But I refuse to wallow in distress. I remember asking God to help me understand why things happen the way they do. Then last Saturday, our pastor said, "Don't try to 'see' before you have faith, have faith then you'll understand." What a revelation!

I'll be catching up with you guys as soon as I can.

How are you, Pia?

Please take care :)

The eternal God is your refuge
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Deuteronomy 33:27

I'm so thankful you have peace in this storm and your pastor is so right. Knowledge precludes faith. We love you! ;-)

Kc has been telling me the same so many times: faith comes before understanding:-) Hard to do if you want to understand everything but I am getting better at it. I have every confidence it will make a major difference for you too.

I am grateful for you being at peace and I pray these troubling and nerve-wrecking times will be over soon for all of you.

Luv ya!:-)

God's Grace.

Thinking about you! I'm glad you have such a wonderful way of looking at things!

Isn't it cool how God gives us peace in the midst of trouble...and when it doesn't make "sense" in the natural!!

May God fill you with peace and even bring you joy during this time!!! Nothing is too hard for HIM!!!

Blessings!

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." Our Father God is the King above all storm and flood. May He continue to bless you, and embrace you with His peace and joy.

You're in my prayers sis.

"...have faith that you'll understand"

Agreed. God's like that, requiring faith before we understand. It's not faith if we know all the details. Anyone can walk in knowledge, even the world does that.

Pia, though these are trying times for you. Difficult, challenging and above all testing time. Know that in all your challenges God is there to strenghten and work it out for your good. So be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

I pray the word of the Lord in 1 Peter 1:7 over you: "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:" Amen

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."
Psalm 9:9 & 10

Please be strong, Pia :)

I know you have compassion for your coworkers, but if they have to be "let go," I couldn't think of a better person to break the news to them. You really care, and I think they know that. It makes a difference.

The faith quote from your pastor is a good one!
