The Day

Wednesday, March 29, 2006
The long wait is over! Yesterday was THE DAY for a lot of us in the office. Retrenchment notices were given out and a meeting was held to make clear what led to this drastic move. Some were caught by surprise that they're one of those that have to go and some have long accepted their fate. To those left behind, that includes me, we are all sadden to see all these people go, whom we have worked with for years.

This dreadful event that happened caused me to realize how lives could change just like that. While most of my co-workers were bewildered at what fate awaited them, I wasn't apprehensive about these things because I knew that God was and still is in control. I know that wherever He takes me, I'll be fine. I've stopped making my usual Plan A to Plan Z (that's what a control freak does) and just let Him lead. The pay off? My sanity was kept intact. ;-) The only downside I can see now is, I will be blogging less, say once a week, because of the workload I currently have. :-(

Please pray with me for my friends who just lost their jobs. May they find comfort in Him who promised all of us provision.

I am grateful you kept your job and I will join you in prayers for your friends who didn't.

Sorry your workload has increased but it's better to be able to blog once a week then not to be able to blog at all, huh?:-)

Glad to have you back. We missed you! Love ya, girl:-)

God's Grace.

So glad to hear you're holding up alright. It is a sad and uncertain time there it seems but you are wise to throw out your plan A-Z :) God has a different way or organizing things (haha) and He rarely warns us ahead of time! Loved your post about meeting a fellwo blogger. I'd love to meet some of mine...including you, of course...if not on this planet then we'll definitley get together on the other side, K?

man, I am so sorry to hear about these people losing their jobs. I pray that they will find something else. It is sad to think of people who don't know God and they have that heavy burden of worry to carry on their shoulders. I pray that they will come to know the Lord and that they will be blessed with another job. I am so glad for you though that you still have yours. How has all else been your way? Things are busy here, I don't get to post much like I would like to. God bless you and yours. :) HUGS!

What a difficult journey you've been on. I'm so sorry. I'm so glad the Lord held you close. I know He is always faithful, but as Jesus, "In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world."

Planning A-Z = control freak. Ouch that's me. I wish I weren't that way,a nd now when so much has been pulled out from under my feet, I'm learning (painfully) what it means to rely on God more and more.
