Temptation

Friday, July 28, 2006
When you are doing God's will, the more the enemy will come and taunt you. Have you noticed that? Satan always chooses just the right time to attack us and He knows when to pull the rug out from under us. This is exactly what happened to me this morning.

I fasted last night and spent time with God, woke up from a good night sleep, went to office and called up my husband as I always do every morning (thanks, Jolly, for creating my new VoIP account). I was determined to do whatever is right today and guess what, the enemy did his best to ruin everything for me. Nice try though. Sure, I got annoyed a few times, but I didn't give him the satisfaction of getting me in bondage again. I knew he was trying to get me to do what I would usually do when I'm pissed. He knew exactly how to tick me off. But he failed to get what he wanted.

Temptation will always knock at our doors but when it does, let's make sure to let Jesus answer it.

So true Pia... whenever we try to do something right and good, Satan is always at our doorstep to try and tempt us away. I am so thankful that God never lets us be tempted more than we can stand... He is a mighty Lord.

You said a mouth full, satan knows he is on the losing team and that is why he does it. I "throw" a bunch of raspberries at him, my brother told me to do that. Here satan, have a raspberry, you jerk!!!! God will get you satan.

Blessings,

Barbara

Good advice! Being filled with Jesus means there is no room for satan!

I know what you mean! Take care and hang in there. Let Jesus answer the door (I liked that).

the enemy is always defeated indeed and he always will be. but let's not put our guards down because he knows when we are in our weakest and he just uses that opportunity to try to bring us to his side.

His strength/grace/love/anointing/provision is perfected in our weakness.

May the Lord lift you up as if on eagle’s wings!

That is so true. He knows when to get us. The devil sure doesn't want us to walk that Godly walk knowing that if we do he will surely loose. Have a great weekend.

I so agree...good for you for not giving the enemy the satisfaction of an upper hand.

I also wanted to say that I know how it feels to have your husband gone for periods of time. When we were first married, he was in the Navy and on a six month deployment the first year. Not fun! But the Lord got us through. Yet, I remember those tears when he was packing too! (((Hugs!)))

P.S....love the music you have!

Hi Pia,

Your new picture is so beautiful - of both of you! "Oh, to be young and beautiful," my Mom always said and now I can say it too. May God bless you. I am so sorry that you are alone (without hubby). Do you have a cassette player?

Hi PIA,

The battle belongs to the Lord, the Victory is for us to claim!

I've been facing great attacks from Satan especially this month on my health. Yet as you said, "Let Jesus answer it".

"Thou shall not live on bread alone but every words of God." Praying for you & your hubby!

Have a good week ahead! God Bless!

Things have been going pretty well for us lately... and suddenly we are both having nightmares.

Food for thought.

Won't give him the satisfaction though!

When we least expect it. Thank you for the reminder.

hi pia,

and even in matthew 4, when Jesus had fasted, the devil came and tempted Him too. He used the Word againt the devil, and after the 3rd time of tempting Jesus, the devil left for a bit. that means he always will come back and try again. but just like you said, "we have to make sure we allow Jesus to answer that door."

thanks for sharing yourself with us. may God continue to comfort you with His love and peace, especially while your husband is away.
