... by Drea!

THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the 6 weird things about you. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

1. My favorite veggie is bitter melon and I even love eating its tendrils. My mom does something with it to lessen its bitter taste but I like it better the way it is - BITTER. The more bitter, the better.

2. I smell my food before eating it. I really don't know why I do this but I remember my dad scolding me when I was younger because of this. He'd always say, "Why do you have to do that? What are you, a monkey?" I wonder, does a monkey smell its food before eating it? Haha!!!

3. I don't eat bell peppers. Sure, they can make the food look enticing but I hate the way it tastes. I always remove them from any food I eat that has them like pizza. If I accidentally bit even a tiny piece of it, I lose my appetite.

4. When I mix juice, it always looks more like water having a little color in it. I know it tastes dull but that's how I like my juice. When it's too sweet for my taste, I feel like my nose is enlarging, like it has a life of its own.

5. Some people wiggle their toes. I sway and pat my feet together when they're up on a stool or on the bed. I usually do this while watching T.V. and my husband hated it. I'd stop when he calls my attention but the moment of stillness usually last only for less than five minutes then I'd unconsciously do it again.

6. I like my soup boiling hot. When I'm not done sipping it in 10 minutes, I'll let it boil again.

I tag: Corry, Mary Rose, Audrey, Shenna, Sylvia, Enid, Jeremy
(I tagged more than six, so what?!? *wink*)

KA... Here I Come!

Monday, January 22, 2007
I'm going back to work on February 1. Woohoo! Nope, I didn't go for that job offer where my so-called friend was. She can very well keep her job. I had a deadline to meet, a goal to achieve and I was led to choose KA International - a posh European furniture shop, located in the heart of Makati's trendy district, The Manansala Tower in Rockwell Center. I'm excited because I'll have training in interior decorating which I find really interesting. And most of all, whatever I'd learn from this experience is something I'll have with me for the rest of my life.

Thank God roses are starting to bloom again!

Good Versus Evil

Wednesday, January 17, 2007
I've been busy the past few days going around the city doing some errands. I'm finally done with them, thank God! Anyway, I told Jec that I wanted to go back to work again. I just felt like I can do more than just stay home. Jec said yes and so I did what I have to do. Now, I have a few good job offers to choose from. Thank God! Prayer really works!

Something happened last week that stunned me a bit on how a person could be so desperate that she could do just anything to hold on to dear 'life'. Last weekend, after talking to one of the department heads of the company offering me a job, I learned that one of my so-called friends and former colleague that happened to be employed in that same company did something which, with my old self reacting, would normally get pissed off and would want to choke her for being a backstabbing scumbag. I couldn't believe she'd stoop that low. I thought we were friends, well, I guess I was wrong. Let's just say that history seem to repeat itself. Why do you think she's so threatened if she thinks she's an asset to that company? Well, I guess that's how the enemy really works. He'd do everything and anything to hamper you from receiving your blessings. The good news is he'll never succeed!
"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4
"No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me, declares the LORD." Isaiah 54:17

Roses Will Bloom Again

Tuesday, January 9, 2007
I've been wanting to update my blog and leave comments on your sites but I couldn't. I hardly had an internet connection until now. I think it's because of the Taiwan earthquake that caused this serious interruption. Well, I hope things are going to get better from now on.

I had a rough year ender, but I don't want to focus on that anymore. What I'd like to focus on are the wonderful blessings I'm expecting God to bestow on us this year. As Oral Roberts said in his book Attack Your Lack, "It takes your faith to believe that God will make the roses bloom again for you." I believe He will.

New Year, New Hope

Monday, January 1, 2007
I spent Christmas and the new year's eve at my sister's house. You might be wondering why. Well, the bad news is Jec's stay in the states was extended. It was a last minute decision he made and of course, who wouldn't be mad? I was pissed, frustrated, hurt, stressed out... you name it. At first, I couldn't really understand why. Sure, his reasons made sense but I couldn't accept it. I just couldn't! After a while, after a long talk with my sis, who, may I say, was worried sick about me during that time, I began to understand and accept Jec's point. By the way, we had our friends, my bro and my SIL worried about us too. I wouldn't be writing down his reasons anymore for not coming home, but let me just assure you that they're valid. My sis told me that if for that alone, she commends him for it. Sorry for keeping some details private, I have my reasons too. It was definitely one of the most challenging times of our lives, but Jec will be coming home soon, that's for sure.

This year, 2007, I pray that it will be a blessed year for us. A year when all of our dreams and aspirations will finally come to pass. A new year... new hope. Here's wishing everyone a prosperous new year! Cheers! =)
