These past few days, we have been really busy attending parties and dinners. In fact, I got another invitation right here at my desk. The most recent one we've attended so far was my nephew's 3rd birthday last Saturday. That afternoon, I met up with my cell group for our usual Bible study session. At the latter part of our discussion we got to share how God has blessed us that week. I was humbled by what my friend, Paz, shared to us. God has literally been providing for them, much like in the olden days when God provided manna to the Israelites in the wilderness. She said that they were at their lowest when she began trusting God like never before to provide for them especially milk for her kids. God didn't fail them.
Looking at others with the loads they carry on their shoulders and then looking at ourselves, have we ever tried counting our blessings?

Wow, I love your new template! It's beautiful.
I constantly try to count my blessings but don't do it near enough.
I am grateful you are feeling better. Missed you:-)
God's Grace.
It's amazing that when we feel our lowest and can't continue on we meet someone who is struggling even lower then ourselves. It's definatly a good wake-up call from God to humble ourselves before him.
Glad your back and feeling better! We missed ya! I love the new template; It's awesome!
The new look is great. I haven't even a clue how to post links on mine.
God provides!
I love the new template Pia!
It's a good reminder to look at all the good things and blessings God has bestowed upon us. More often than not, we tend to look at what we don't have than looking at what we DO have. Thanks for the reminder Pia. :)
What a beautiful post for your beautiful new template by a such a beautiful person. I pray God will continue to bless Paz and her family and I'm grateful for her willingness to tell of His great providence. It's so clear to us in times of great need but in times of prosperity we always seem to overlook it even though that's where our true joy is found.
So we don't hear from you because you're a party girl now huh? tsk tsk tsk. ;-)
I'm so glad your life is full and I only hope and pray for more of the same.
What a refreshing new look! I like it. Hope you are feeling better.
Love the new look!
Thanks for the reminder that we should always count our blessings.
Hope you are feeling better!

corry: yup. i got tired of the old one and i got a number of people who can't access my comment page. i'm doing better and hope you are too by now. =)
wyld: God gives us or shows us these sort of comparison to make us appreciate our lives more and be thankful that we are still blessed. we should be thankful. =)
curm: thanks. if you need help with the links, let me know. i'd love to help you out. =)
joy: glad you liked it. true. we tend to magnify those that we don't have than be thankful of the things that we do have. i sometimes fall in this trap too.
KC: party girl? nah. gone are those days. those are just a few wholesome fun. blessings to you and mamu! =)
kristi: hey, girl! welcome back! i missed yah! =)
dawn: i'm glad you liked it. i'm a lot better now. thank you. =)
kimber: oh, i'm so happy! finally you made it here!!! glad you liked my new template. nope, that's not me. =)
From the promise of Psalm 107:20 "He sent His word & healed them, And delivered them from their destructions."
Jesus had delivered us with His words & heal every pain on you from head to toe be it mental, physical or emotional, Amen?!
God Bless PIA
P:S Great New Look for the Blog!
You are SO right!
We would do well to wake up each morning counting our blessings.
Ditto, to all of the above (except for the link thing in Mr. Curmudgeon's comment).
Dear Mr. C... you can do it. You just have to go into the template and play around with it until you figure it out. Or maybe someone here can give you a more technical explanation?
It's a wonderful reminder to count blessings. But it's probably not a good idea to compare trials. There will always be someone whose suffering is greater.
wow, I love the new look. How do you do that? The girl on the deck staring out to sea, just has to be me. That is what I do when I go to the beach.
God is awesome. He blesses us every day and often we don't even know.
May the Lord bless you greatly.
Oh, I love your new look!! It's so feminine and pretty!
godwyn: thank you. =)
joe: we should make it a habit. =)
seeker: i'm sure he can do it. i can help him with it. =)
sparrow: you're right. there would always be people who's lives are better than ours and some who's trials are greater. and we feel sorry for those experiencing hardship. but it also makes us appreciate our lives more when we realized that we are in a better circumstance than the others. it's wrong to compare but we can't keep ourselves from seeing the difference and be thankful that we are blessed. =)
rulan: glad you liked the new look. God is really awesome. =)
shelley: glad you liked it. =)
Hi Pia :)
Your blog is so much more exciting now because I can eavesdrop on the whispers.
HeHeHe!
Thank you so much Sister!
You're so understanding.
I'm so grateful that God has sent me wonderful friends such as you! Counting my blessings is an area of my life that needs my attention.
Thanks for the gentle reminder, Pia!
It is sometimes scary but it is always the best learning time when we have to totally rely on God. Yes, count our many blessings...name them one by one!
Hi Pia...tried to leave a comment earlier, but lost my connection...
I love the new look...just wanted to come by and say hello and thank you for all your encouragement during my down time...God Bless,
Donna
