God Woke Me Up

Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Two nights ago, I knew I sinned and I felt guilty about it. My guilt won't go away even though I already repented. I kept telling God like a little child over and over again, "Oh God, please don't be mad at me. I'm really sorry for disappointing you. Please don't be mad." So I went on with my routine - I prayed, I read my Bible, got myself ready and off I went to work.

Early this morning, at around 7, I woke up and prayed but I was still sleepy so I doze off again. Usually, after praying I'd read my Bible but that time I was just too sleepy to keep my eyes open. Lo and behold, my phone rang or so I thought it did. Immediately I said, "Yes, Lord. I'm awake." I sat on my bed and read my Bible.

He woke me up!

I felt good because I know for sure that He knows my troubles and He hasn't forgotten me. He's just there... wherever I go.

Indeed He is near by your side with you at all times, never to leave you alone.

He woke you up? Very sweet. Jesus on the mainline...(b-ring, b-ring)

Condemnation is from the enemy which leads us away from God and His Word but conviction is from the Spirit and always points to Jesus.

Forgiven completely. He's already forgotten. Isn't that refreshing!?

Don't let satan fool ya... we have consequences to our sin but God is sure and quick to forgive us when we ask Him.

God is so good. He is bigger than us and is not dependent upon what we do. His righteousness is in the blood that covers us and it is on that blood that He renders His work in us. It is so good to rest in that grace. God bless you and may you know the fullness of the filling of God, for I know your zeal and desire is great. He is faithful to continue to completion the work! Blessings to you, dear one.

You are completely, totally, and unconditionally loved. A friend and I were learning about HIS grace after many years of being Christians, but living in a lot of guilt and striving. God gave her this dream:

She was walking along a path through the woods. There was a root that she didn't see and she stumbled and fell. She lay on the ground cowering, expecting God to be mad at her.

Instead, He came to her and helped her to her feet. Then, gently He said, "Come, let's try it my way."

Her dream reminds me of our Lord's heart. He loves us--ALWAYS and UNCONDITIONALLY. He knows we are "but dust" as the Psalmist says and that we will make mistakes. But His precious blood covers our sins. He forgives. His mercy is new every morning.

I'm so glad He woke you up. He loves to be with you!
