What a Week!

Saturday, December 17, 2011
Huff... Puff...

Just got back from climbing the stairs from ground to 17th floor... twice! That's for my legs and cardio work out.  I do that often as a form of exercise.  It helps a lot listening to my fave radio station Magic 89.9 Saturday Slam which takes me back to the 90's.

What a week!

My friends and I had a feeding program last Wednesday, December 14, at the Hospicio de San Jose, a hospice, in Manila. Zenda and Maui were the ones behind all these.  I volunteered to help out every time they have an event like this.  It's not always about money.  It's fulfilling when you serve others like doing it for the Lord.  These elders and handicapped children were mostly abandoned and didn't have families anymore. Can you just imagine how happy they were when we visited them, handed them food and gifts? The smiles on their faces were simply priceless. Here are some of the photos taken during the event.

The following day was a very special day for me.  So, for now... I went to celebrate it with my friend Babette over dinner at Cibo, an Italian restaurant, at Shangri-la mall.

Insalata di Manzo, Spinaci Zola and Penne al Telefono

Last night, I went to watch Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol with my friend, Zenda.  Can't believe Tom Cruise is turning 50.  He looks so fit!  I've been a fan since his Top Gun days.

I praise God for the opportunity to bless others and for being blessed in return as well.

Fearless Friday

Friday, January 29, 2010
Photobucket

It's Friday once again. This is a day we come together to pray for each other.
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrew 10:35-36
Praise report:
  • My friend Armi who had a brain tumor, went to see her doctor yesterday for an MRI. The result came back clear. Praise God!
Please pray for:
  • Beth's son. Got this in my inbox --- I got a call from my oldest son this morning and he said in the night he heard my son Rod saying "it is over". I updated him with all that has been happening and told him to contact prayer warriors he knew, but we really need a break through on this. It has come to the point some of the family has decided to confront him and before when he has been confronted, he has either threatened or tried to take his life. You may share this with people you know to be prayer warriors. I need your prayers also as I continually try to leave this in God hands... I have fought this battle for so long that I am really needing all your prayers to sustain me. Thanks. I love you all. Have a great day in the Lord. ~ Love, Beth
  • Financial breakthrough for Sylvia.
  • My heart's desires.
  • My husband. It's his birthday tomorrow. --- May he put God first in his life and make Jesus the Lord in every area of his life. May he turn away from his sins and go back to God. May his will be in line with God's will. May he come to his senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken him captive to do his will.
These were taken during his water baptism last 2004

Thank you for praying my dear friends.
"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27

If you have prayer requests and you need somebody to stand in the gap for you, please leave a comment here and I will pray.

7... A Year Of Completion

Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Seven years ago this song was played while I was walking down the aisle. I specifically chose this because of the meaning of the song and it still stands true up to this day...

For my friends who don't speak my language, this is the English translation of the song. It's not in sync with the music, but I just want you to be able to somehow understand the essence of the song.

You

You are given by God (God sent)
The answer to my prayer
So that for all time
I'll love you every chance I have

You are the light of my life
The other half of my heart
Not for a moment will anyone be able to take your place
Now and forever, it'll just be you

You are the reason for everything I do
If ever I look forward to tomorrow
It is because of you
Forever is not enough
Because every moment, every second
I will love only you

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6

God... My Anchor

Monday, June 29, 2009
I'd like to thank you, my dear friends in and out of bloggy land, for your continuous prayer for me, my husband and my marriage. I believe that even if I don't see anything yet in the natural, our prayers are already working. I am truly touched by people all over the globe praying for us.

I prayed for justice the whole weekend. During my quiet time, God lead me to the story of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. I don't think that was a coincidence. I believe that was a message God wanted to tell me.
"And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly..." Luke 18:7-8
Here's another verse:
"Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord." Romans 12:19
I was comforted by these Words from God. I know He sees and knows what's happening. He is still in control. God reminded me these words He told me in His still, small voice --- TRUST ME. Although my boat gets rocked once in a while, with your prayers and mine and our faith in our Almighty God, I was made to realize that my Anchor is immovable.
"The LORD will fight for me; I need only to be still." Exodus 14:14

His Wife

Tuesday, June 2, 2009
I've joined Amy Verlennich's S.H.M.I.L.Y (See How Much I Love You) for 30 days of prayer using Stormie Omartian's book The Power of a Praying Wife. It started yesterday, June 1. If you're a wife or someone who wants to pray for her future husband, don't worry about the date, you can still join us. It's never too late. Visit Amy's site to answer your What, How and Why questions. I will be posting here lessons I've learned from time to time.

I love what it says after the foreword --- The Power...
We don't have authority over our husbands. However, we have been given authority "over all the power of the enemy" (Luke 10:19) and can do great damage to the enemy's plan when we pray.
You have the means to establish a hedge of protection around your marriage because Jesus said, "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 18:18).
Chapter 1 --- His Wife...

God will not change our husbands without changing us first. Transformation will begin with us wives as we pray for our husbands.
God can resurrect the deadest of marriages, but it takes humbling ourselves before Him and desiring to live His way --- forgiveness, kindness and love. It means letting go of the past and all hurt associated with it and being willing to lose the argument in order to win the battle.
Prayer brings unity even if you're not praying together.
The point is, whatever situation we're in, we have to believe the part of our relationship that has been eaten away by pain, indifference and selfishness can be restored. The power of Jesus is the very same power that will resurrect the dead places of our marriage and put life back into it. Nothing is impossible with Him. God's will is to break down all barriers and lift us up out of the pit we're in.

Wives, pray!!! This is our weapon and it is powerful.
"... Lord, give my husband a new wife, and let it be ME."
"Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Galatians 6:9

His Loving Assurance

Wednesday, February 25, 2009
When we pray we expect answers. We all do.

Yesterday was no different. For several days I have been asking God to speak to me about my heart's desires. I knew He already did assure me of my stand in the past but I would like to hear Him speak to me again about these things. Do you feel like that sometimes, wanting to hear God talk to you about your heart's desires once again? I love it when God pours out His loving assurance that I'm on the right track.

I was searching the net looking for a Bible concordance where I could find what it says about marriage. I don't have that at the back of my Bible. I wanted to do this so that I could pray according to His will.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5: 14-15
As I searched, I was again led to Rejoice Ministries. I was already receiving daily devotional from them but I was behind with my reading. Yesterday, though, I had the urge to read the devotional for that day. I was so encouraged! God, again, answered my prayer. I'll share to you a line or two from that devotional. This was Bob, the once prodigal husband, talking:

"All the time God is moving, all the time He is calling out to your prodigal spouse to do what is right, the Holy Spirit is allowing glue, the cement of your one-flesh relationship with your spouse to keep memories of you alive and active in his heart. Try as we may, we prodigals simply cannot buy enough things, experience enough sin, make enough changes, nor find the replacement for you that will erase the memories of our covenant marriage, regardless of how we try."

"God simply will not allow us prodigals to forget a praying and standing spouse, sold out to living like Jesus and trusting Him for the right time."

And I thought I was already happy with that, but there's one more.

Before I went to bed last night, I got a text message from a friend. He texted me his prayer. He said in the latter part of his message, "God is already working on your husband. Don't worry." My heart was already doing jumping jacks, you have no idea. I texted him back and asked, "Why did you text me what you just did? I'm just curious." He replied, "God spoke to me and told me to pray for those in difficult situations, so I did."

Coincidence? No, it's not. It's God winking at me again. Isn't He awesome? He knows our heart's desires.

"The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer." Psalm 6:9

When God Winks

Monday, December 15, 2008
Do you believe in coincidences?

For me those are godwinks. I have many of those this year and I thank God for those winks.
These silent little miracles - messages of assurance that no matter what is happening in your life or how uncertain things may seem at the moment, God is with you and will help you move toward certainty." ~ SQuire Rushnell
Today is a very special day. It is special because this was the day my beloved and I said "I do" six years ago.

I opened my mail as I always do everyday and this is what I got from someone who knows nothing about my personal life.

Coincidence? Nah... I just got another wink from God. ♥

I Prayed... God Answered

Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Often times Valerie wondered what her life will become and what her future holds. Have you ever asked that question? Valerie did last Friday... again. For the nth time she asked God for direction. She asked God what He'd like her to do. She asked Him for wisdom. She asked Him for His will for her life and her marriage. She held that prayer in her heart. And for the nth time God didn't fail to answer.

The past few weeks Valerie was already contemplating of having her marriage annulled. Yes, they have problems. She felt like her time was being wasted and it's time to finally give up the fight. She was tired of waiting, tired of standing in the gap for her husband and her marriage. She wanted to be set free from all these craziness. She prayed. Then last Saturday during her class, their Pastor suddenly said these words -

"To all who are married, stay married."

Valerie was stunned. For a few seconds she felt numb. She was trying to collect her thoughts. Then the Pastor continued -

"Don't give up on whatever you're doing."

Alright. Valerie's thoughts were, "Our pastor just said a few simple words and I didn't need a dictionary to figure out what those words meant. How come I felt like those words filled up the entirety of my brain?"

So Valerie went on with her day carrying those thoughts tepidly. She even attended her classmate's thanksgiving party that afternoon. During the evening service, while she was listening to their Pastor speak, he said these words -

"Our God is a God of second chances."

That struck her again. Then the Pastor continued -

"Our God is a God of restoration."

Hmm... Later that night when Valerie was getting ready for bed, those words she heard from her Pastor kept repeating in her ears. She realized those were God's answers to her questions.

The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand." Isaiah 14:24

... Is the LORD's arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you." Numbers 11:23

The Purpose

Friday, August 8, 2008
Valerie prayed to God. "Lord, give me direction. Reveal to me your will for my life and my marriage."

Six months ago, Valerie was advised to go see Attorney Collins Nader for legal advice regarding her marriage. She was kind of hesitant, but still took the advice and went on a Sunday morning service to meet Nader. Nader was a Sunday worshiper. Everyone knows when and where to find this husky looking man who's on fire for God. After the morning service Valerie looked and asked for Nader, but he wasn't around. "Hmm... I guess it wasn't meant to be," Valerie thought.

Last Thursday, during the prayer meeting at her local church, Pastor Joseph Fanning asked the congregation if anyone needed to make an important decision and wanted to seek God for guidance to raise their hands. Valerie, with her head bowed down, raised her right hand in desperation to seek God's will for her marriage. She was torn between holding on and letting go of her precious, God ordained marriage. Pastor Fanning instructed everyone to find a prayer partner. Valerie looked on her right, then on her left, then at her back. Everyone found a partner except her. She thought to herself, "Well, it doesn't matter if I don't have a partner. I can pray on my own."

A tall, middle aged man with a shaven head approached Valerie and asked her what she wanted to pray about. She was somehow relieved to have finally found a prayer partner. While showing the man a glimpse of her life and what was weighing her down, tears were running down her cheeks. The man prayed for her with such authority she can almost feel the power of the Holy Spirit piercing through her confused heart. After praying the man extended his hand to Valerie, "By the way, my name is Collins."

Valerie was flabbergasted. Her heart raced a hundred and fifty miles per hour. Words couldn't find their way out of her lips.

"Attorney C-Collins?" Valerie's voice was shaking.

"Yes." Nader shook Valerie's hand.

"I-I was suppose to see you six months ago."

"Really?"

"Yes. B-But... Uh, can we talk after the prayer meeting? I mean if that's okay."

"Sure. There's a coffee shop downstairs, we can go there and talk."

"Great. Thanks."

At the coffee shop, Valerie and Nader confabulated. Valerie opened up her heart to the man of God whom she believed was sent by God Himself for a specific instruction she needed to hear.

"Attorney Collins, I don't know the purpose of this God appointed meeting. Honestly, I'm confused. Am I suppose to hear some legal advice from you? "

"I don't know either, but let me tell you my story..." Nader got the floor as Valerie was all ears.

"I wasn't always like this. My wife prayed for me and didn't give up on me while I was having an affair with my wife's best friend which lasted for twelve long years. My wife prayed for me for 14 years. Many times I wanted to serve the Lord, but couldn't turn my back on my girlfriend. I would say sorry to my wife and then go back to my girlfriend again and again. I could just imagine the pain I've caused my wife all those years." Valerie was listening diligently but at the back of her mind she was still wondering about the purpose. "Lord, what is your purpose for this meeting? Please help me understand."

Nader continued, "A pastor once told me that God will use me mightily to help couples with hurting marriages. God will use my testimony to bring light to couples who are contemplating on ending their marriage." Suddenly, Valerie's eyes were widened. Everything was making sense to her now. All of a sudden she can now see through the purpose of that fateful chance meeting.

"Attorney Nader," Valerie interrupted. "I think I know why we've met."

With a wide grin on her face, Valerie was ecstatic to have gotten her answer. Her heart was leaping for joy.

Nader gave Valerie a big smile. He laid hands on Valerie and prayed for her and her husband.

Valerie sought God and God met her where she was, right at her point of need.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" Matthew 7:7-11

Happy Birthday, Babe!

Wednesday, January 30, 2008
It's my hubby's birthday today.

May I request you to say a little prayer for him... that he turn his face towards our Heavenly Father again and back home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABE!

A Word From The Master

Thursday, December 27, 2007
Hi everyone! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

It's back to work for me. I don't really mind. I know there are a lot of things for me to look forward to. The past few days, I spent time with God at home reading His word and meditating on it. I spent my time praying and fasting. God did answer some of my questions and revealed to me an important truth that I needed to pray for.

I called up a friend, Baebs, which I usually do every now and then. She enthusiastically told me that God has spoken to her again about what she has been praying for (that's us) during her quiet time. She quoted a verse in the Bible.
"Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.' " Ezekiel 12:28
I was so excited to get a word from God again. And also, for the past days, these words have been like a broken record, beaming in my life's "TV screen," -- DON'T GIVE UP NOW!

God has also shown me that I have this unforgiveness still in my heart and Baebs told me to release it to God. I needed to forgive the one person who I love the most in this earth, the man God gave me to spend the rest of my life with. I graciously obeyed my Master. I remembered one preaching in church that even if I didn't feel like it, even if my mind says so otherwise, even if my feelings are rebelling, I need to obey what God says because that is His will for me. And God promised to redeem me. He who promised is faithful.

Pray For Us

Monday, November 26, 2007
I started this blog to write things about my life that I didn't mind sharing to the whole world. An opportunity came for me to earn from blogging and I'm grateful for that but I guess things will be different from now on. I will be writing less sponsored posts although there will still be some from time to time but not as much anymore.

Anyway, I will be away for a while and will be back posting on December 3. I will be with my sister in Hong Kong for a short vacation. Honestly, if I could beg out from this trip I would but it's all set and I guess God really wanted me to take this trip. I'm leaving on Wednesday.

To all who read this post, I'd like to ask you to please stand with me in prayer for myself, my husband and our marriage. I know that there are people and forces of evil that are hoping and trying all they can to destroy this God ordained marriage. I also know that the enemy will try his best to snatch us out of God's will and bombard us with lies until we succumb to it. One of us may be weak, but I am standing in what the Word of God said in:

Matthew 18:19
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."

1 John 5:14-15
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

Matthew 19:6
"So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

Isaiah 54:17
"
No weapon forged against us will prevail, and we will refute every tongue that accuses us. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD."

Philippians 1:6
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Proverbs 19:21
"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails."

Yes, I'm hurting with all these blows in our lives and my heart breaks to tiny pieces but I'm holding on to God. I believe that He will redeem us. I believe in my heart that nothing is impossible with God and nothing is too hard for Him to do. God will honor His Word because He is a faithful God. He will make ALL His promises to me which I kept in my heart come to pass. I can depend on Him. I can trust Him. And I know that He will never let the righteous fall (Psalm 55:22). This child of God here is not quiting!

Thank you for praying with us. God bless y'all!

Thank You, Daystar

Friday, September 14, 2007
I feel jaded. I've tried everything but nothing worked. An hour ago I called Daystar TV for a prayer request. I watch this show everyday in our local cable channel. I dialed their number but my call was transferred to a voice recording. I left my number but didn't really expect them to call back. After an hour or so my phone rang. I was surprised to hear from one of Daystar's prayer partners. I didn't get the name of the guy who prayed for me, but he was so nice and accommodating. He didn't cut me off while I was talking nor rush me into prayer so he could hang up right away. So I went on telling him my prayer request. Our conversation went something like this.

Daystar: I wanted you to do something first before we start praying.

Me: Okay.

Daystar: Release anger, unforgiveness and feelings of rejection in your heart. Release them all.

He sounded as if he knew me! I mean, I didn't even realize those negative feelings still existed in my heart. I closed my eyes and started to picture "release" in my mind. He gave me verses to meditate on, there were a lot actually, but I didn't remember all of them. I just remembered one which was in Jeremiah 23:29 "Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" Then he proceeded to pray for me in such a powerful way declaring Bible truths over me, my husband and my marriage. After praying,

Daystar: Call us back for a praise report. (He sounded happy)

Me: I will. (Maybe I didn't sound too convincing)

Daystar: You WILL call us back with a praise report. You will!

I was kinda stunned by his certainty but I was glad he said it in that manner.

Me: Most certainly I will. (With a smile on my face)

Daystar: Everything's gonna be alright. Keep saying that over and over again ok?

Me: I will. Thank you. God bless.

Daystar: God bless you too. Bye.

I hang up.

Thank you, Daystar. Thank you for believing with me.

Know Who's On Your Side

Tuesday, July 10, 2007
I was upset with my husband for some stupid brainwork which stressed me out for the nth time. I lost sleep and couldn't concentrate at work. I was so upset that all I thought of doing was mope around. I felt hopeless and was at the verge of giving up. Then out of sheer desperation, I called the first person I could think of to spit out, to my heart's content, everything that's weighing me down. When our friend started reminding me of what Jec did in the past that proved how much he loved me, I thought I felt a slap on my face that brought me back to my senses. A sudden gush of guilt engulfed me.

Still, there are these annoying thoughts that bothers me - the what ifs. And you know what's sad? I often fall for this enemy's trap and I hate it! I just came back from an errand and I got a chance to talk to one of my officemates about life on our way back to the office. It dawned on me the most important lesson I've learned this week - know who's on your side. I began to remember how he was taunted by his colleagues and
when news came out that there would be a mass lay off in our company, his name was the most resounding one. But there he was, still doing his job, unaffected by his circumstances. He was unbelievably calm in the midst of the storm in his life. Why? Because he knew who's on his side. He knew that the owner of the company, himself, was the one backing him up.

Who's on our side? When everything around us go crazy, when life's complications pressure us down, when we don't understand what's going on, when fear and worry start to creep in... Who's on our side? The immovable One. The faithful One. Our Rock. He's on my side. He's the one backing me up. He's name is JESUS.

"The LORD said to me, 'You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.'" Jeremiah 1:12

This Thing I Call Life

Wednesday, May 23, 2007
It's been awhile, I know. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, guess again! But they're all water under the bridge now. Things are starting to pick up, at least I'd like to think so. My mom and dad are back from the states. I got myself and Jec a condo unit which we're renting now. I was telling God two months ago after Jec and I decided to give up our apartment, which let me just say wasn't easy because I've grown so attached to it, it's where Jec and I lived since we got married; I wanted to get a unit in this condo which we can call "home" in a year's time or so. I never really expected to get one this soon. God literally kicked me out of my comfort zone and out in the streets until I finally got hold of this unit. Paz and Mags, two of my churchmates, can attest to the kind of hell I've gone through before I got to where I am today. I couldn't even believe myself that I made it this far. And it's all because of GOD. He made everything possible. When I look back at those days, I couldn't even start to imagine how I got from there to here. It was more like God leading my steps, telling me what to do even if His instructions were hurting me, I obeyed. It paid off.

Prayers of friends and families all over the globe surely kept my sanity. Thank you! Now you ask, how am I now? I'm good and expectantly waiting for God's promises to come alive in my life and Jec's too.

Thank y'all for praying. (((HUGS)))

Little Victories

Sunday, April 8, 2007
I've wanted so much to bring to you some happy news about what's going on in my world. God has been good. He let me taste little victories which I'm so grateful about. My mom is getting better, she's still having her dialysis though. The objective is to bring down her creatinine level to normalcy and so far, although she's still a few levels up from the desired number, she's getting there. My brother's pastor and churchmates went to visit my mom and prayed for her too. Oh, by the way, my mom is in Christ Hospital in New Jersey. Good thing that they're surrounded by Christians during this time of crisis.

My husband, Jeric, and I are communicating again although not as often as we used to. He told me in a text message that he's working again and he went back to school to take up a short course. I'm glad that he's okay although I'm not quite sure about what his plans are. Nevertheless, God said in Proverbs 19:21 that "many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." I also read in a book that: "I should look to God as the source of all I want to see happen in my marriage, and I shouldn't worry about how it will happen. It's my job to pray. It's God's job to answer..." I also know that I have friends all over the globe who prays for us. I know in my heart that soon we will be reconciled and that my marriage is in the palm of God's hand.

Thank you for praying. I want you to know that your prayers are not in vain. He heard us and He's moving. You are all part of the little victories we're all experincing now. Thank you for standing with me in prayer. Thank you for continuously fighting this battle with me. God bless us all.

Mom In ICU

Sunday, April 1, 2007
***UPDATE***

Jec called early this morning and we were able to talk a little. He said that he's facing a lot of problems now. I just told him that I may not be there physically with him but I can help encourage him and pray for him. Finally he assured me that I'm still his wife and that he loves me very much. The words I've been waiting to hear from him all this time. We weren't able to tackle everything but it was a start. I know that as I pray, as we all pray, God will change his heart and lead him to the right path.

My mom had her dialysis again today. My brother said so far, so good. I'm glad it went well. She's already out of the ICU. Thank God!

God answered our prayers but the battle is not yet over. It'll not be over until Jec and I are reconciled; and not until my mom recovers from this. I ask you to please continue to stand with me in prayer. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.

*****************************************************************

5 a.m. yesterday, I got a call from my sister and she was crying. My mom was rushed to the ICU due kidney failure and heart attack. I felt numb and cold, I couldn't even talk. I wanted to see my mom but she's thousands of miles away from where I am. I said, "God, what is happening? First, my husband and now my mom. God, what am I gonna do?" My bestfriend, Jen, told me that I shouldn't keep my problems to myself, that I should let it all out or I might just die from it.

This morning, I called up my brother and I was surprised to hear my dad on the other line. My bro went to work and left his phone with my dad. I asked how mommy was and he said she's stable. She's responding well with the dialysis. She'll have another one tomorrow. While my dad was talking, tears were already welling in my eyes. Then he asked me how I was. I totally lost it, I broke down and cried. For almost a month I was keeping my problems from them afraid that they might be too affected by it. But I can't keep it any longer. I told my dad everything. He told me to take a rest for now and he'll take care of it. I felt like a big load lifted from my shoulder.

I thought for a while that if my dad --- my earthly father, loves and cares for me that much that he's going to take care of things for me, how much more willing would my Heavenly Father be to help me?

I thank everybody who continuously remembers us in prayer.

Please Pray For Us

***UPDATE***

Jec emailed me last March 19. He's asking me to pray for him and to take good care of myself. He said He's definitely going to call me soon. He also said that he's okay as of the moment and that he'll survive this trial. He did say what the problem was but did not elaborate much.

My special thanks to Corry, KC, Bonnie and Jeremy who went out of their way to help me. I thank all my cell group members for fighting this battle with me and Jec. And of course all my blogger friends who willingly interceded for us in prayer.

I still haven't seen any light yet on this matter but I'm hoping that this shaking in our lives will be over soon. Please do continue to remember us and cover us in prayer.

*******************************************************************
Dear Friends,

Things haven't changed and it's even more difficult now. Please pray for my husband, Jeric. Pray for wisdom and that God will reveal to him His will for us. Pray for God's favor to be upon his life. My husband needs God now more than ever and he needs His guidance. He's going through a lot now. I love my husband and I just want him to be back home SAFE with me.

God gave us a promise and I know that God is able and willing to fulfill His promise to us.

Please remember us in your prayers.

Good Versus Evil

Wednesday, January 17, 2007
I've been busy the past few days going around the city doing some errands. I'm finally done with them, thank God! Anyway, I told Jec that I wanted to go back to work again. I just felt like I can do more than just stay home. Jec said yes and so I did what I have to do. Now, I have a few good job offers to choose from. Thank God! Prayer really works!

Something happened last week that stunned me a bit on how a person could be so desperate that she could do just anything to hold on to dear 'life'. Last weekend, after talking to one of the department heads of the company offering me a job, I learned that one of my so-called friends and former colleague that happened to be employed in that same company did something which, with my old self reacting, would normally get pissed off and would want to choke her for being a backstabbing scumbag. I couldn't believe she'd stoop that low. I thought we were friends, well, I guess I was wrong. Let's just say that history seem to repeat itself. Why do you think she's so threatened if she thinks she's an asset to that company? Well, I guess that's how the enemy really works. He'd do everything and anything to hamper you from receiving your blessings. The good news is he'll never succeed!
"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4
"No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me, declares the LORD." Isaiah 54:17

New Year, New Hope

Monday, January 1, 2007
I spent Christmas and the new year's eve at my sister's house. You might be wondering why. Well, the bad news is Jec's stay in the states was extended. It was a last minute decision he made and of course, who wouldn't be mad? I was pissed, frustrated, hurt, stressed out... you name it. At first, I couldn't really understand why. Sure, his reasons made sense but I couldn't accept it. I just couldn't! After a while, after a long talk with my sis, who, may I say, was worried sick about me during that time, I began to understand and accept Jec's point. By the way, we had our friends, my bro and my SIL worried about us too. I wouldn't be writing down his reasons anymore for not coming home, but let me just assure you that they're valid. My sis told me that if for that alone, she commends him for it. Sorry for keeping some details private, I have my reasons too. It was definitely one of the most challenging times of our lives, but Jec will be coming home soon, that's for sure.

This year, 2007, I pray that it will be a blessed year for us. A year when all of our dreams and aspirations will finally come to pass. A new year... new hope. Here's wishing everyone a prosperous new year! Cheers! =)
