Thank You for the Blessings

Sunday, September 16, 2012
I'm very happy that Mom spent two nights in my house this week.  We went to watch a movie last Saturday and ate out.  We also did the grocery shopping together.  Early this morning, before leaving, she cooked for me again.  I thank God for Mom.  I'm really excited for Mom's new condo unit.  Construction is starting on October 1.  Hopefully it'll be ready for Mom to move in before Christmas.

Last Tuesday, I attended another award's ceremony.  I thank God for this award I got for the second consecutive year.  Here are some photos from the event.

On a different note, I think grief over Dad's passing is catching up with me now. There are nights when I would just cry because I miss Dad very much.  When I hear songs that I know Dad really liked, the water works will just start automatically.  I know Dad is with Jesus now, but I just miss him very much.  Next month I would be celebrating my birthday for the first time without Dad.  Sigh...

Paradise on Earth

Tuesday, September 27, 2011
I’m back in China and I have time to blog again. Back home, I was swamped with backlog at work and my schedule was just chaotic. I had a few days off from work though when I went to Boracay for a short vacay. Stayed at Shangri-la’s Boracay Resort & Spa. And true to it’s name, I did go to a faraway haven of idyllic beauty and tranquility. Truly a paradise on Earth. God has been so good to me for all the blessings I’ve been receiving and favors I’ve been getting even from people I don’t really know. God rocks! =)

Doesn’t this look like paradise on Earth?
This was the view from my room. Click photo to enlarge.

Looking at that photo and reminiscing my experiences there, I can’t help but be in awe of God’s love for me in spite of all the painful experiences I’ve gone through in life. I know in my heart and in my spirit that God hasn’t forgotten me yet. He is mindful of me.

  Fun!!!

These things were results of my hard work and God’s favor last 2010. I wouldn’t have achieved all these without God’s help. He was not just my provider. He’s also my cheerleader. I couldn’t thank the Lord enough for everything He’s done.

30th Macaulay Club Awards Ceremony at One Esplanade.

I believe that this is just the beginning of all the beautiful things that will be happening in this season of my life. There's so much more to come, and I'm praising God in advance for them.

Thank you, God, for making me happy. =)

Sparkle

That's the theme of our Sun Life's President's Awards Night last January 24, 2011 at the Rizal Ballroom, Shangri-la Makati.  This was the result of a three-month (October-December 2010) effort and attaining our individual targets.  And, woohoo! I hit the Bronze level.

I'm happy that I was a medallion qualifier. But Bronze wasn't enough to have my photo published in the newspaper like in the August Championship last year when I hit the Gold level.  That's alright though.  I did my best and that's all that matters.  Next time. I'll do better.  Although I didn't have my photo published, my name made it to the newspaper anyway.

I didn't enjoy the food (I never liked hotel food), but I totally enjoyed the company of my colleagues.  Here's looking forward to more awards this 2011.  Thank you, Lord!

Thank you!

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, February 25, 2010

This week I thank the Lord for:
  • His favor.  A ride everyday to work and back home gave me so much more time for myself.
  • My mom's condition.  It's constantly improving.
  • His reminders of how much He cares and loves me through His Word, through friends and even through the TV programs I watch.
  • His peace.
    • Wisdom in managing my finances.
    • Food and water.
    THANK YOU, LORD JESUS!

I would also like to thank my friends Jo and Anne for this award.  I truly appreciate it.  Thank you.

I needed to write seven things about me for this and I thought since I've written more than seven already, you may want to refer to my previous posts to read more of "About Me".

What are you thankful for this week?

Have you heard of these boys with angelic voices? Everytime I listen to them I feel like I'm being lifted up to Heaven.

    *****************************************************************

It's an honor to have been given this award. Thank you, Rita. I'm so touched by your description of me. If not because of what God allowed me to experience, I wouldn't be who I am now. So I'm giving all the honor to our Almighty God. He's actually the one who taught me about real FAITH.

    Weekend Adventure, Et Al

    Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Draining! That's the word that can best describe how my last weekend was. I was in Batangas, a two-hour drive south of Manila, last Friday for a speaking engagement my boss had to attend for our regional office's 18th anniversary. We took the road which was newly opened for traffic by the President last April 17. I enjoyed the scenery very much. I wish I could have taken more pictures, but I was only able to take one decent picture from a moving car!

The following day, Saturday, I had my Leadership Training class. On Sunday noon I left for Baguio again, a five to six-hour drive north of Manila for another speaking engagement. I took this picture from a moving car (again!) Pardon my amateurish shots.

The next morning, I took more pictures before going to the Philippine National Police Media Relation Seminar where my boss was a guest speaker. We were back in Manila at around 9:30 p.m.

The next day I was able to report for work at 12 noon. I couldn't drag myself up in the morning. I was exhausted!

On a different note, I'd like to thank Cheryl of Hope for Each Day for her prayers for my family and for giving me an Arte y Pico award. Mel and Ester also gave me this award last month. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Cheryl, like the rest of my blogger friends who have walked with me in my life's jouney, is someone I wish I could meet in person. I'd like to give each of them a big (((HUG))). Someday, in God's perfect time and will, we'll see each other. Until that day, you are in my thoughts and prayer, forever grateful to have crossed path with an angel of God.

    Awards

    Friday, February 8, 2008
I got these awards this week but because of some things I've been going through lately, I wasn't able to do a post about them right away. I'm so sorry for the delay but here they are now:

    First award was from Tey:

I don't really know for sure if I deserve this award but thank you, Tey, for thinking of me. I so appreciate it.

    Second was from Sylvia:

"Pia - For Inspiration for her posts of faith, family, friends, and good product info."

Sylvia, thank you for thinking of me for this award. You know what I'm going through now and I honestly feel like I don't deserve this. I hit another rock bottom this week. But I'd like to thank you for your email. Same goes to Mel by the way. Thank you for being there for me. (((HUGS))) Love you guys!

Third, but certainly not the least, was from Renie:

    Blessings Award

"I also want my lovely, young blogging friend Pia to have this award. I love to read Pia's blog. She has strong faith, uplifting messages, and is a blessing to her visitors. I hope you enjoy the award, Pia!"

Renie, thank you for thinking of me. (((HUGS)))

    ***************
I don't mean to get you confused but I had a really ugly emotional outburst early this week and I did something really offensive to Him. I'm not proud of it. That's why I feel so embarrassed to receive these beautiful awards. I feel like I don't deserve them.

I'm starting to pick up the pieces and get back on track. I'm aware of how much I messed it all up. I was wrong and I'm sorry.

Thank y'all for your kind words and encouragement. I'm deeply humbled. Most of all, thank you Lord for your forgiveness.
