If Only

Sunday, March 23, 2014
I'm almost done moving stuff in my new home. I only have a few more stuff left at my old house which I will transfer here by next week.  I could say that by April 1, I'm fully settled in my new home sweet home.

Life has been bittersweet for me. I lost some and then gain some more.  You know, I'd say that I have been truly blessed in life in spite of all the trials I went through.  I may have lost a great deal - losing a husband and both my parents, but God carried me through it all. He gave me loving siblings, a nice home, a new car, health that's continuously improving everyday, loyal friends, a caring yaya, a sweet cat... the list goes on. And He's continuously blessing me with so much more.  As I always say, the Lord is not done with me yet.  He plans to prosper me and give me a beautiful future.  I am highly favored, greatly blessed and deeply loved.

With Cousins at my my niece's first birthday celebration

I miss my Mom and Dad very much.  If I could only have a day with them again... If only...

Anyway, I believe I received an instruction from the Lord last night on how He wanted me to start this new chapter in my life. I still believe that 2014 is going to be my year of favor and blessings. This is going to be a year of healing.   I'm very excited to walk in to my Promised Land already.  I think I'm more than ready.

I'll leave you with this beautiful song which I always sing lately. I sing this with all of my heart.  God bless y'all!

Remembering Mom

Sunday, February 16, 2014
Last February 10, we went to visit Mom and Dad. It's Dad's birthday. And this year, he celebrated his birthday in Heaven with Mom.

When everything's settled, I will be posting old photos and beautiful memories to remember them by. I'm just very busy with the transition that's happening right now. In the mean time, let me share with you two of Mom's favorite songs by Patti Page.

We love you, Mom!

Jesus My Healer

Wednesday, October 17, 2012
I am in awe of God!

Today began with a miracle.

October 15, 2012 / October 17, 2012

See that?  My feet are no longer swollen. Praise God!

In my post before this, the doctor said that this condition was kind of scary. The medicines that would be administered to me would be so costly. I wasn't afraid though. So I prayed and humbly submitted myself to the will of God.  I spoke to this mountain of illness to be healed in the mighty name of Jesus.  Sang praise and worship songs then went to sleep.  I believed in my heart that God would heal me as He promised and this greeted me this morning.

Next would be the result of my albumin test.  I went to the lab and got the results.  Praise God!  They all turned out normal.

My pulmonologist cleared me.  All tests were good.

My nephrologist was surprised to see how much I've improved.  He checked my vitals and said all good.  He checked the results of my albumin test and said they're good. I showed him my CBC results and he said good. Then he looked at me and said, "What on Earth did you do? What shall we do now?  You're okay! Just repeat urinalysis 2 weeks from now then see me again."

Those words were music to my ears.  Who else is able to turn things around in an instant? It's only JESUS!  Jesus, my Healer!

I still have to continue the steroids for lupus as prescribed by my rheumatologist until I repeat CBC, also 2 weeks from now.

I'm jumping for joy for this miracle I received from Almighty God. I believe I've already received my complete healing as Jesus has promised.

By the way, this was the song I kept singing last night.

Dear friends, God is true to ALL His promises.  He is faithful! Thank you for praying for me.  Thank you for believing with me.

While I was going through these trials, Mom was always praying for me. I know how much she wanted me to be well again. I know because she often cried while praying for my healing. Thank you, Mom. I love you very, very much.

All praises to God!!!

Proud to be a Sun Lifer

Sunday, August 5, 2012
When I was introduced to Sun Life three years ago, I was a bit skeptical because of all the dreadful stories I heard from people who had lousy experiences with the other insurance companies in the past.  Like most, I viewed insurance differently, and its agents as desperate people.

That all changed when I was in such a despondent situation three years ago and God used Sun Life to change my life forever.  In spite of my doubts, I kept an open mind believing that if God was the one leading then I'll be fine.  There must be a purpose for this, I thought.  Little did I know that three years after, I'd be debt free.

I'm glad to be part of Red Spruce NBO and proud to be a Sun Lifer.

Here's another first from Sun Life, introducing Sun Shorts.

Here's the first of the five digital short films produced by Sun Life Financial.

Blessings

Sunday, July 1, 2012
Mom is listening to her fave radio station which plays music from her and Dad's time.  I miss Dad.  He had a very peculiar laugh.  I got the chance to record this when we had a family outing at Fontana last 2010.  Mom and I listened to it and although we both miss Dad, we end up laughing at the sound of Dad's laughter. I'm glad Mom's with me because I get to feast on crabs and shrimps.  Haha!

On a different note, I shared this verse with a friend at church because she's going through some tough times right now.
"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Joshua 1:8
This powerful verse ministered to me too.  If we meditate on God's Word and carefully obey then blessings are inevitable.

I have so many things to thank God for this week.  Too bad I wasn't able to join in the Thankful Thursday meme.  Anyway, just the same, I'm grateful to God for allowing me to pass my licensure exam two weeks ago.  I got the result last Monday.  I thank God for my friends including bloggy friends who prayed for me. Thank you, guys!  I passed!  Woohoo!

Another thing I'm thankful for is my latest DVD of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn part 1.  My friend gave it to me two days ago.  Thanks, Dee!

I'm so blessed.  Thank you, Lord!

I'll leave you with this video that Mom is listening to on the radio.  Happy weekend!

TSMSS - I'll Walk With God

Saturday, May 5, 2012

This is one of Dad's favorite songs from the movie Student Prince.

Dad, this is for you.

I'll walk with God
From this day on
His helping hand I'll lean upon
This is my prayer my humble plea
May the Lord be ever with me

There is no death though eyes grow dim
There is no fear when I'm near to Him
I'll lean on Him forever
And He'll forsake me never

He will not fail me as long as my faith is strong
What ever road I may walk alone

I'll walk with God
I'll take His hand
I'll talk with God He'll understand
I'll pray to Him
Each day to Him

And He'll hear the words that I say
His hand will guide my throne and rod
And I'll never walk alone
While I walk with God

We miss you, Dad!

Till We Meet Again...

Wednesday, May 2, 2012
Dad was finally laid to rest last Sunday, April 29.  Although my family has already accepted the fact that Dad is now with Jesus in heaven, we miss him terribly.

Dad did not die of cancer.  He had diarrhea that caused severe dehydration.  Antibiotics were administered, but Dad's body did not respond to them anymore.  Dad's passing was so sudden.  He didn't have a hard time breathing nor was he in pain.  Before Dad had a septic shock, he was able to utter these very important words --- BY JESUS' STRIPES, I AM HEALED.  Dad meant it with all his heart and might.  That's why when he breathed his last, I knew in my heart that Dad went home to be with our Lord that very night.

It's painful to think that when we need to talk to Dad and seek his advice, he wouldn't be here anymore.  When I close my eyes, I can still hear him laugh and say to each one of us --- I love you, anak (my child).

I wish Dad had ten more years on this Earth to be with us.  I wish...

We all prayed for Dad's healing and indeed God answered us.  It may not be the way we expected it to be, but God is still faithful.

Thank you for praying for my family.  Thank you for praying for Dad.  Thank you for all the help and love you've shown my family.  May God bless and keep you.

Lord, thank you for welcoming Dad in to your kingdom.  Thank you for granting Dad complete healing.

Dad, we love you and we always will.  You will forever be in our hearts.  You will always be remembered.  Till we meet again...

Glorious Day

Thank you, Jesus, for everything you did.
I love you!
All glory and praises to You, my Lord.

It's Time to Experience Sun Life

Tuesday, March 13, 2012
This is to all my fellow Filipinos here and abroad.

How do we like to live our retirement years?  Do we like to live it in comfort and dignity?  If so, prompt and proper actions are very critical.

How often do we say Saka na (next time)?  How often do we procrastinate?

Did you ever say when...
  • You're in your 20s - "I still have 40 years.  I will enjoy my money first, besides, I just graduated from college. I'm very young to even be thinking of those things."
  • You're in your 30s - "I have a house and a car to pay."  Or maybe, "I have a family to feed. Saka na yan."
  • You're in your 40s - "My kids are in college. I have so many expenses to take care of."Or maybe, "I have credit cards to pay. Saka na yan."
  • You're in your 50s - "I have to take care of my aging parents."  Or maybe, "I'd like to help my kids set up their business. Maybe next time."
  • And then you hit 65 and you wished you started 40 years ago.
IT’S TIME! is Sun Life’s advocacy to empower Filipinos to achieve financial freedom.

Think about it... No one wants to be poor in old age, but many just don't make plans not to be.

Be responsible. Be brave. Be an advocate.

IT'S TIME!

TSMSS - Healing In This House

Saturday, January 14, 2012

This song is very special to me.  2007 was the year I experienced the lowest of lows in my life.  It was year 2008 when I got a promise from the Lord through this song. A promise that I kept in my heart... Against all hope, in hope I believed.  I know my God is faithful.

TSMSS - Where's the Line to See Jesus

Saturday, December 10, 2011

I remembered hearing this song for the first time last year.  I instantly loved it simply because it's true.  I chose this song for my TSMSS this week and to my surprise, when I started singing these lines --- Where's the line to see Jesus? │He was born for me │Santa Claus brought me presents │But Christ gave His life for me.--- I burst into tears uncontrollably.

I hope we'll not get so wrapped up with the season's busyness, but let's take time to remember why we are celebrating Christmas.

Christmas time was approaching
Snow was starting to fall
Shoppers choosing their presents
People filling the mall

Children waiting for Santa
With excitement and glee
A little boy tugged my sweater
Looked up and asked me

Where's the line to see Jesus?
Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday
Why don't we see Him more?

As I stood in amazement
At this message profound
I looked down to thank him
He was no where around

The little boy at the mall
Might as well have had wings
As the tears filled my eyes
Thought I heard him sing

Where's the line to see Jesus?
Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday
Why don't we see Him more?

Where's the line to see Jesus?
He was born for me
Santa Claus brought me presents
But Christ gave His life for me

In the blink of an eye
At the sound of His trump
We'll all stand in line at His throne
Every knee shall bow down
Every tongue will confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord

(Repeat Chorus)

Where's the line?
Where's the line?
Where's the line for the Lord?

Pitbull Live in Manila

Wednesday, November 30, 2011
Had a blast tonight with my sissy, BIL and other friends.  We went to watch Pitbull in Araneta Coliseum.    While others were busy recording the whole concert on their phones, we enjoyed watching him on stage while we danced the night away.

My ticket :-)

Here are two videos from tonight's concert courtesy of YouTube.

Pitbull Live in Manila - Bon Bon

And you know what?  Somebody blessed us with free tickets. We had a perfect view of Pitbull... Right in front of the stage.

Happiness! :-)

TSMSS - Jesus, What A Beautiful Name

Saturday, October 22, 2011

This is to honor our Lord not just for what He did or what He can do, but simply for who He is... He deserves our praise.

er>

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Son of God, Son of Man, Lamb that was slain
Joy and peace, strength and hope
Grace that blows all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name (2x)

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Truth revealed, my future sealed, healed my pain
Love and freedom, life and warmth
Grace that blows all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name (2x)

Jesus, what a beautiful name
Rescued my soul, my stronghold, lifts me from shame
Forgiveness, security, power and love
Grace that blows all fear away
Jesus, what a beautiful name

TSMSS - While I'm Waiting

Saturday, June 25, 2011

I'm sure all of us are waiting... either for something or for someone.  And while we're waiting for our breakthrough to come to pass, what do we do?  How do we wait?

Remember that God's promises are true and He is faithful to fulfill each and every promise He gave us.  We may not see anything yet in the natural, but trust that God is working behind the scenes.  In His perfect time, we will see His promises to us come to pass.

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

(*) I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait

(Repeat * 2x)

I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

TSMSS - One More Time

Saturday, May 28, 2011

I'm so glad I'm able to post my entry today for TSMSS.  It's not very often that the proxy I'm using here in China works.  But since it is now, I'd like to take advantage of it.  I'm not sure how long this will work, but as long as it does, I will blog hop and leave comments.

I hope this song One More Time will inspire each of you to never give up and keep believing!  Everything's going to be alright.

There always seems to be a door that you can't open
There always seems to be a mountain you can't climb
But you keep on reaching
You just keep on reaching
When your destiny is out there in the distance
But the road ahead's a mine field in disguise
And you keep on moving
You Just keep on moving
You will make it through this
Just give it time
You gotta give it time

This is what you're made for
Standing in the downpour
Knowing that the sun will shine
Forget what lies behind you
Heaven walks beside you
You got to give it one more try
One more time (time)

You just keep on reaching
You just keep on, you keep on moving (hey)
When the shadows fall on everything you're dreaming
When the promises turn out to be a lie
You just keep believing (yeah)
You just keep believing
Oh, don't stop your dreaming
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright

This is what you're made for
Standing in the downpour
Knowing that the sun will shine
Forget what lies behind you
Heaven walks beside you
You got to give it one more try

This is what you're made for
Standing in the downpour
Knowing that the sun will shine
Forget what lies behind you
Heaven walks beside you
You got to give it one more try

It's gonna be alright
One more time
You got to keep on reaching
Keep believing (yeah)

It's gonna be alright (oh, yeah)
