Hello and See You Around

Tuesday, December 30, 2014
Hello.  It has been ages since I last posted here. I've been doing a lot of thinking and finally came to a very hard decision.  This will be my last post for Pia's Journal. As I read back my old posts, I realized that since I started blogging at 2004, everything was about challenges, disappointments and trials of different kinds. I've waited for a long time to change the theme of this blog, but it didn't happen. That's okay though.

2015 is a new year and I'm starting a new life. Some would say it's been long overdue, but I say it's better late than never. Besides, as the saying goes - Life begins at 40.

As I venture into a new beginning, I have also decided to cease blogging. I'm not saying it will be forever. Who knows, I might just start a new one. In the mean time, I'm closing this chapter book of my life and am very excited to step into my new life.

Here's wishing you all a very HAPPY and BLESSED NEW YEAR!

I wasn't able to post this last Christmas, but I'm still posting it anyway.

See you around!

2012's Last Hurrah!

Monday, December 31, 2012
My cousins from my mom's side finally had a mini reunion for the first time ever.  We were all soooo happy to see each other again.  I hope next time more can come.

While my family and I were at the pool area of Shangri-la Hotel, I saw Tina from Our Phenomenal Life.  Tina and I were schoolmates back in high school and she is also a fellow blogger.  I'm so happy to see her again. It's been ages since we last saw each other.

Thank you, Lord, for all of these.

Goodbye 2012... Welcome 2013!!!

How Has Your Year Been?

Saturday, December 29, 2012
In two days 2012 will be gone.  How time flies.

Today I asked myself this question - How has 2012 been to me?  There are definitely so many challenges that happened this year, but I've also received so many blessings and miracles.

Dad left this imperfect world to be with Jesus last April... I got sick two months ago, but I'm recovering pretty well. I received miracles after miracles of healing and divine provision... I deleted "friends" from my life who are toxic; turned out to be a blessing in disguise... This is also the year when I became debt free.

I didn't see the beauty in these seemingly tragic events while it was happening, but now I do.

God is good.

Although 2012 is marked with tears and sadness, it is also marked with joy and happiness. God sure knows how to balance things.

So, how has your year been?

Here's looking forward to a year of abounding blessings, grace and favor as we welcome 2013 with great expectancy and hope.

Welcome 2012!

Sunday, January 1, 2012
Lord, thank you for the hope that you've given us.  Hope that this year will be full of blessings and favor from You.  Hope that this year we'll be seeing manifestation of our breakthroughs.

What a beautiful day.  Had a good night sleep last night.

Spent the New Year's eve at Edsa Shangri-la with my sister's family and my friend, Zenda.  First, we went to my parent's house. We had Dad's Beef Stroganoff. Yum!  I even had some to take home with me.  Then we went to Zenda's.  I love his dad's Tablea Tsokolate or Cacao Chocolate. Then off we went to Shangri-la for the countdown.  By the way, sorry the photos look grainy.  I forgot to turn on the flash (Grrr...)

Count down to 2012... Woohoo!

After the countdown, it was time to party!!!  We all enjoyed the 80's hits which included New Wave songs.  Woot!

Oh, and it's also my sister's birthday.  Happy Birthday, sissy!

Happy New Year!

Saturday, December 31, 2011
After Christmas day was over, I went back to finish some pending work in the office and attended to some personal stuff that needed to be done before the year ends.  I am happy because I was able to finish them all.

  • Do everything on my list of things to do ---   ✔
  • Update my Social Security and Philhealth (Philippine Health Insurance) records in preparation for my 2012 contributions (not anymore as an employee, but with a self-employed/voluntary status this time) ---   ✔
  • Meet with my friend M for real estate briefing ---   ✔
(I am loyal to being a Sun Life advisor, but I'm sure being a real estate agent on the side wouldn't hurt for as long as I know how to prioritize and that I can bring home the bacon.
I gotta do what I gotta do you know.)
This week was a good week.  I'm happy and that's something I am thanking God for.

Anyway, today is the last day of 2011.  It had been a challenging year for me and my family, but God saw to it that we pulled through.  He's simply awesome!  My prayer is that the year 2012 be THE year we'll see the manifestation of our breakthroughs.  May 2012 be far better than the previous years.

A Blessed and Prosperous New Year to us all!

Happy New Year!

2010 is over... Welcome 2011!

Last year was a very good year for me.  God had really blessed me and I am truly grateful. This 2011, I am very expectant of more good things to come.  I believe that this year is going to be a better year.  Never mind what the statistics or the news say.  My God says that for those who fully obey Him, He will set high above all the nations on earth (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).  Aren't you excited?

God changed so many things in my life.  Some very painful, but I'm glad He did. He said He plans to prosper me and not to harm me.  And what better way to do that, but to remove garbage in my life.  Sometimes those garbage were so attached to us that when removed, we tend to be resistant and that's when it becomes painful. I know some of you can relate to what I'm talking about.  But you know, the good news is, our God knows what is BEST for us and when we leave to Him our mess, He will make something beautiful out of it.

Today is also the day my sister celebrates her 34th birthday so
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS!  (1-1-11 --- how cool is that!)

Taken at New Year's Eve with my friend, Zenda.

Here's wishing all of you A Blessed and Prosperous 2011!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

I'm so excited for what's in store for me this 2010. This coming Friday will be the start of our annual Seven Days Prayer and Fasting. I'm so excited to know what God's will for me this year. I had a blessed 2009 and I believe that this year will be much more blessed. Aren't you excited?

Anyway, I have a lot of catching up to do with y'all. I'll do that this week. In the meantime, I want to share some photos with you taken last December 31, 2009 with my friends.

New Year, New Hope

Monday, January 1, 2007
I spent Christmas and the new year's eve at my sister's house. You might be wondering why. Well, the bad news is Jec's stay in the states was extended. It was a last minute decision he made and of course, who wouldn't be mad? I was pissed, frustrated, hurt, stressed out... you name it. At first, I couldn't really understand why. Sure, his reasons made sense but I couldn't accept it. I just couldn't! After a while, after a long talk with my sis, who, may I say, was worried sick about me during that time, I began to understand and accept Jec's point. By the way, we had our friends, my bro and my SIL worried about us too. I wouldn't be writing down his reasons anymore for not coming home, but let me just assure you that they're valid. My sis told me that if for that alone, she commends him for it. Sorry for keeping some details private, I have my reasons too. It was definitely one of the most challenging times of our lives, but Jec will be coming home soon, that's for sure.

This year, 2007, I pray that it will be a blessed year for us. A year when all of our dreams and aspirations will finally come to pass. A new year... new hope. Here's wishing everyone a prosperous new year! Cheers! =)
