Poor Sushi

Sunday, February 24, 2013
Hi friends.

I'm doing good. Thanks to all who are continuously praying for me.  I'm just a bit lazy to do anything these days except work.

Anyway, Emy (my nanny) and I brought Sushi to the vet this morning.  She has ear infection.  Poor Sushi. The doctor cleaned her right ear and put antibiotic drops.  We were told to observe her ear for at least a week to see if it's getting any better or not, then we bring her back to the vet for another check-up.  I purchased a Groupon deal for only $7.50 so I can avail a year's worth of unlimited cat check-ups plus discounts on grooming, cat food and accessories at Pet-a-Holic's Veterinary Clinic.  It was a good deal.

Sushi after her check-up.  Sooo cute!

Sushi's suppose to have her shots on Wednesday, but because of this ear infection, the doctor moved her next visit to Sunday to check on her ear first, then the shots.

We got back  home, she played, ate then slept.

Sushi loves to sleep in this area during the day. She uses the bundled extension wire as her pillow. See that shredded paper on the left?  That's what she loves playing with all the time. When she gets tired  playing with it, she sleeps.

Hope she gets better soon.  Would love to bring her back to the vet not just for check-up, but for her shots.

Thankful Thursday

Thursday, February 7, 2013

I have so many things to thank God for today.  God is sooooo good!

I thank God for the new HOPE I have.  I feel at peace and joyful again.  I thought I've lost those 2 for a while, but I guess I have them all along, just misplaced. Now, my groove is back.

I have a new niece!  Her name is Robyn Denise. My sister gave birth yesterday. She's so beautiful. Both mom and baby are healthy so I'm grateful for that.

I'm grateful too because I know I'm on my way to full recovery. I'm getting better everyday.

Yesterday I brought Sushi to the vet for vaccine and check up.  I had her groomed too.  Dr. Byron Guevarra, her vet, said Sushi is in tip-top health. Thank God!

Father, thank you for ALL the blessings and favor you've been showering me with.  Thank you for taking care of me, my family and my pet Sushi. I bless and honor you, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen!

What are you thankful for this week?

Meet Sushi

Saturday, February 2, 2013
I finally got my pet cat!  Woohoo!

She's so cute! Her name is Sushi.  She's a 4-month old Himalayan cat. She's very sweet and loves to play.  I don't really know much about cats although my family had pet cats which we brought home  from the streets. This is the first time I had a pet cat of my own. I don't know much about Himalayan cats either.  I don't know if Sushi is a pure breed Himalayan or not, but whether or not she is, I love her to pieces.

I saw Sushi for the first time at my friend Shirleen's house. Right there and then I fell in love with this cutie. I decided I wanted to have one, too... soon, I thought.

I prayed for it.  I prayed for a pet cat.  I told God that I really want one, but I couldn't afford to spend that much to purchase a cat now. I'd rather buy my supplements and meds with the funds I have than spend it to buy a cat... But God, I really want one!  I told God that if He really wanted me to have a pet cat now, He'll make a way for me to have one for free.  Honestly, I didn't know how that could ever be possible.

Two weeks later, Shirleen texted me and said she's selling the cat because her daughter's asthma is acting up again. Really???  I got excited... but thought, God, it's not good enough.

Shirleen said I could pay whenever.  Hmmm... tempting... but God, it's still not good enough.  If that cat is for me, you're going to make a way for me to have her for free.

Another friend of mine, who's a dog lover, knew that I wanted so much to get a pet cat and I told my friend that Shirleen's selling her cat.  As soon as I said that, my friend immediately said, "Get it! I'll pay for it."

Wha???  Did I hear right?  You'll pay for the cat?

Hmmm...

You know, God does answer prayers.  Sometimes it takes time... Sometimes it's quick. One thing I'm reminded of with what just happened is that GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYER. And when He says YES, rest assured that that prayer request is YOURS!
