How we need then to be genuine plants in the garden of the Lord..

This is similar to the Bible verse, "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Any effort that is not sanctioned by God is doomed to failure. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

A sobering reminder to commit all our ways and plans to Him before we start the planting.

Blessings sweet Pia...Praying with all that is happening in the Philippines that you are alright.

Excellent photo of this verse from Matthew!!! Just as you wrote me:"when we give our lives to Christ, our flesh is no longer on the front row. in fact it's an act of killing our flesh and bringing up what is of God because He now lives in us."

The problem is that we need to UPROOT all that old stuff & get rid of it: roots of bitterness, rebellion, rejection, pride, disobedience...you know. So glad that Christ came to set us free of all this & we can die to self. So thankful that Christ in me & you LIVES! Powerful Pia!

so true -- this verse is both encouraging and, as another commenter said, sobering.
